Their T Shirts should be available soon according to something I read last week.

Quoted from SkitBPinball:Due to the immense size of the previous thread that was started earlier this year, I'm going to attempt to condense all the relevant info into a more concise post.
First off, there was a brand new video posted to the website (www.skitbpinball.com) tonight that shows off some of the fancier features of how the game works both in the gameplay and behind the scenes. I hope you guys enjoy it, just keep in mind that it is a bit lengthy (closing in on 20 minutes, total) and there are some quotes in the sound clips that are slightly NSFW that can be heard in the video.
Game information: 100% custom game based on the P-ROC hardware available at http://www.pinballcontrollers.com. Game is officially licensed to carry the Predator brand and has a giant list of sound and voice clips cut from the movie itself. There is a vulgarity switch in the settings menu to turn off all swearing, if you have a family-friendly game room and aim to keep it that way.
Industry information: There will be no more than 250 machines produced, and yes, there are a small number of pre-orders still available (I will update this post when this changes). Marco Specialties has signed on to provide all the parts for the game, Matt Reisterer from BackAlleyCreations will be making the playfield toys, and CoinTaker Amusements will be providing all the lighting for the machine. Pinball Inc. will be custom producing the ramps for the machine, and it will come stock with an all new sound system provided by Flipper Fidelity.
We are bringing the game to the Chicago Pinball Expo this month, as well, so if you're in the area or on the fence about going, just come see us and have a blast at one of the best pinball shows in the country.
Production information: We expect the start producing our first handful of machines within the next month or two, meaning we SHOULD have a few people out there with Predators under their (gigantic) Christmas trees. Price range still hasn't moved from the projected $5000 range, either, and I will certainly let everyone know immediately if that has to change for some reason.
If there is any info you feel should be added to this initial post, either PM me or just sound off below.
Kevin,
Please remember what we talked about; COMBO SYSTTEM PLEASE
Thanks

ps got chris your new number too bro
Quoted from navajas:can someone tell me the utility/appeal of a shaker motor? When / how does it come on? With the knocker? With multiball? Is it just like a big 360 rumble thingie for your pinball machine?
I have JP, and the shaker comes on during certain modes, such as Stampede (pretty constant shaking) and Feed T-Rex (pulses quicker as the timer counts down as if the t-rex is stomping closer and closer.) It also does it during the tri-ball multiball, and I think during the 6-ball multiball Chaos. I think the Feed T-Rex shaker is super cool, and can't imagine playing it without it now.

Oh, the T-Rex foot steps is a great idea! I played that at a bowling alley and it didn't do that. Would have been sweet.

Predator along with Silence of the Lambs my two favorite movies of all time.....and Tommy Boy of course!
BHZA, WOZ and now Predator on the horizon....I'm loving it!
Congrats on passing 50k Ted!....
Ahh made a believer out of ya again, huh
Quoted from navajas:Never having played a machine with one, can someone tell me the utility/appeal of a shaker motor? When / how does it come on? With the knocker? With multiball? Is it just like a big 360 rumble thingie for your pinball machine?
I have it on my Tron. With "maximum" settings my cabinet is shaking all the time. I think it is a lot of fun and makes a big impression with people. Just imagine rumble from your consoles, except in your pinball.

The shaker motor adds an additional element to the game. Both my LOTR and AC/DC have one. Certain modes, shots, and multiballs will cause the entire cabinet to shake. With the amount of shaking varying depending on what is going on in the game.
If Predator is equipped for one, I will almost definitely be adding it. I could see the rumbling matching machine gun fire, which would be pretty awesome.
Are they strong enough / intended to effect the movement of the ball? Are they on/off or can the intensity change?
Quoted from navajas:Are they strong enough / intended to effect the movement of the ball? Are they on/off or can the intensity change?
I can't speak for anyone else, but I've never seen any indication that they effect the movement of the ball. I'm sure you can turn it on or off. As far as intensity goes, I haven't looked in the settings to change the intensity. But the shaker itself adjusts intensity depending on what action is going on.
Quoted from frolic:I have it on my Tron. With "maximum" settings my cabinet is shaking all the time. I think it is a lot of fun and makes a big impression with people. Just imagine rumble from your consoles, except in your pinball.
I live in a townhouse and am going to have to play with the volume down some.
Is a shaker going to piss off my neighbors?
Quoted from navajas:Are they strong enough / intended to effect the movement of the ball? Are they on/off or can the intensity change?
Generally speaking, no. But if the shaker is turned up enough it can throw your game off a little.
I've never been a big fan of Shaker Motors. For whatever reasons, I've always felt they could shake something loose on the machine. It's just me....
Vibration is the natural enemy of any electro-mechanical system... But the shaker motors are pretty cool IMO.

Haha you still haven't watched 2 have you.
Glover calls home p***y face.
We are happy to announce that Predator will be at our Michigan Pinball Expo booth at Detroit FanFare October 26, 27 and 28. Stop by and see us! http://www.detroitfanfare.com/
There will be some mini-tourneys and swag to give away.
Quoted from playboywillis:Haha you still haven't watched 2 have you.
Yes, I finally did a few weeks ago. Admittedly I might have fallen asleep a few times since it made no sense at the end, but I posted a review and alternative ending (Predator dance-off) on the other thread.
I'm glad the machine is going to be at so many expos. Now please consider the Southern Pinball Festival in Nov since that's the only one I'm going to be able to make.
Quoted from blondetall:Now please consider the Southern Pinball Festival in Nov since that's the only one I'm going to be able to make.
YES! Please try to bring it to SPF.
So I have been following the mega thread and this one. I am not sure if I ever saw the answer to this, but I am going to ask anyways....
Kevin or does anyone know how they will be releasing the pins for sale? I mean, I signed up early during the announcement, but picked a high number (#171). Are they going in order of the people that pre-ordered, or the number of the machine picked? If it is the number I am going to be kicking myself b/c the extra wait I gave myself.
Pretty darn sure they are going in order of when you signed up. They were letting people pick numbers significant to them and/or randomly assigning at the end, but it doesn't have anything to do with how they will come off the assembly line.
Rumor also has been that if someone backs out of a number it just won't be produced, but I'm sure by time everyone at the expos see it that they'll be completely sold out and probably with a waiting list so that isn't even an issue.

This was my understanding as well. I just set up a pre-order and my number is fairly low... 105. I dont anticipate mine being built until sometime in the first to second quarter of 2013.
Quoted from J85M:is the UV artwork still planned and going ahead?
Yep. CoinTaker amusements is considering making a special lighting unit for the game to get better coverage of the UV across the field. We'll know more after we meet up in Chicago.
Quoted from J85M:will the artwork be released to the pinhead masses (preorderers and potential buyers) for critique and feedback like everything else? Or will it just be finalised and then released?
There will be updates to the website (and of course here) when we get the artwork to a point it can be shown as a whole playfield piece. It would be kind of a pain to change at that point, but if for some reason it is overwhelmingly disliked, it might have to be. That's about all I can say for now. From what I've seen so far, though, I can't really see anyone being disappointed with it.
Quoted from J85M:what brand/make of led display will you be finally going with?
The one we've been using is a PinLED display, but we're looking into the Vishay models right now, as well. It all comes down to the best display we can get without having to add a mint in parts to each game and messing with more voltages (no stock plasma displays for this one).
Quoted from iceman44:...and Tommy Boy of course!
Tommy Boy would be a sweet custom pin! Get on it, IceMan, I'll buy one
Quoted from system11:Have you considered making Skit B t-shirts?
We just got the design back from the printing company yesterday, and we should be sporting the shirts ourselves while at our booth in Chicago. We won't have any to sell on the show floor, but you'll be able to order one from us if you like them.
Quoted from loren3233:Can anyone confirm if this is going to have a shaker motor? If it doesn't, would it be wired for a Stern shaker kit?
No shaker motor stock, but it will be coded for it with a connector in the harness that leads down to the front corner of the cab if you wanted to hook one up to it.
Quoted from navajas:can someone tell me the utility/appeal of a shaker motor?
Honestly, I never understood it, either. It was pretty sweet in Jurassic Park back in the day, but anything past that I don't really get.
Quoted from RGR:"You gotta big p-$$-" drain comment... That does it for me... I miss the days of politically incorrect comments and artwork in pinball...
Wow, has this thing generated a lot of fuss... We love it here, especially when the wife's friends try out the game and get legitimately offended by it. I haven't talked about it here yet, but it is one of a few Easter Eggs we put in there, so it only happens under a certain drain circumstance. If you do happen to get the call-out, remember to hit both flipper buttons right away to hear the second part, "It's cuzza the echo..." Another one you can spot in the video is while Tracking mode is starting up, Billy says, "The only way outta here is that valley that leads to the east..." Hitting both flippers immediately after that will add the second part of it, "...and I wouldn't wish that on a broke-d*ck-dog." There are a few more, but they are too offensive to post up here, and I want to leave a few for others to find on their own.
Quoted from mipinballexpo:Predator will be at our Michigan Pinball Expo booth at Detroit FanFare October 26, 27 and 28.
This should be a blast. Everyone within reasonable distance of this show should really try to come out. More than just pinball going on! Check into it a bit more at http://www.detroitfanfare.com/
Quoted from flashburn:YES! Please try to bring it to SPF.
We're tossing the idea around now to see if it will be possible to make it to SPF. It's all going to depend on the resources we have left after Chicago Expo and the FanFare show.
Quoted from Spidey171:Are they going in order of the people that pre-ordered, or the number of the machine picked?
The games are being built in the order in which they were ordered. The production number requests was just a way that people could get a specific number if they wanted one. Has honestly caused a lot of issues on our end, but I think it's cool anyways
Quoted from blondetall:Rumor also has been that if someone backs out of a number it just won't be produced, but I'm sure by time everyone at the expos see it that they'll be completely sold out and probably with a waiting list so that isn't even an issue.
After a lot of debate here at the shop, we won't be leaving blank spots in the production run. We will maintain a waitlist until all of the games are eaten up.
Quoted from spfxted:I'm sure Kevin will be on here soon with the Final Answer....
There it is
Any chance you will have a SkitB regular shirt (with buttons) as I don't wear Tee's.
I want to support the team while I'm out there...or on a Film Set or Convention....

Hey Kevin,
Thanks for answering all these questions; and sorry to keep throwing more at you... but will you consider offering folks first right of refusal to keep their same number on SkitB's 2nd release? I think I've heard that Stern has done this with their LE models, but I could be wrong. Maybe JJP too, although they should get WOZ out first
It would be pretty cool.
Also, not to put the cart before the horse, but how "developed" are your plans for pin #2?
Quoted from Drano:Also, not to put the cart before the horse, but how "developed" are your plans for pin #2?
The rumor I've heard is at least DD.
Quoted from starfighter:Hey Kevin,
I sent you an email & a PM. How can I get on the pre order list???
Email Kevin at: [email protected] dot com
(dot being spelled out is just to eliminate spammers it is .com)
Include:
Name - This will be engraved on a numbered plate on the apron, so make sure it's spelled right and it is the name of the person who will actually receive the game.
Preferred production number - Games will be marked with their production number. If there is a number you'd like to have, like an old high-school football jersey number or something, let us know. It's probably best to include 2 or 3 numbers that you'd like, in case the ones you like have already been taken.
Contact information - An email address is good to have, but a phone number is necessary in this situation.
Where you live - Country, State, City. Full address would be preferred, but isn't totally necessary.
does anyone think Arnold is unaware of this pin?
I know he may care less, and that this is unknown in the majority of the world outside of this forum, but would you not assume Arnold is somehow told about this type of activity not for any action but just because he is so prominent in the movie.
Quoted from spfxted:Any chance you will have a SkitB regular shirt (with buttons) as I don't wear Tee's.
Yeah, these guys have pretty much everything. I'm looking forward to one of those mechanics' shirts and a hoodie.
Quoted from Drano:will you consider offering folks first right of refusal to keep their same number on SkitB's 2nd release?
Probably. We'll have everybody's contact info to let them know ahead of time, so it wouldn't be logistically difficult. To me it reeks of marketing, but if you guys are ok with it, then I will be as well.
Quoted from Drano:how "developed" are your plans for pin #2?
Further than I like to let on. Now that the operating system is developed and we have the industry contacts we need to physically make these things happen, the next game won't take a nasty 3 years to get off the ground.
Quoted from navajas:The rumor I've heard is at least DD.
I might be showing some green on this, but I am lost on what DD is...
Quoted from starfighter:I sent you an email and a PM. How can I get on the pre order list???
I'll be getting to emails in a day or two. No worries, bud.
Quoted from spfxted:....and first born...
Oh, please, no more children. There are too many here, already!
Quoted from SkitBPinball:I might be showing some green on this, but I am lost on what DD is...
Sorry. Too sophomoric. They asked, "how developed", and I responded with a cup size. :-/
Yes. I feel shame.
Kevin, Just wanted to say I personally love what you guys are doing and I hope you never let the peanut gallery impact your overall product too much. Some input can be good but too much can be bad IMHO.
looking forward to seeing and playing at EXPO VERY much!

I sure do love me some Easter Eggs!! I cannot wait to check this out at Expo, your booth is going to be insane! Somebody save me a spot in line please!

When do expect to tell those of us that have pre-ordered where we are in the waiting line? Not the date, just what spot we have in the production queue. Thanks.
