I will add a line to the site rules that removing/clearing your post is not allowed. I will also make note about this on the post page. We'll see how it goes.

This sounds great to me. I like to edit the subject line of my requests for technical help to include [solved] for example.

Regarding new users, it seems to me it would probably be the regular uses that abuse the forum.
