Received this from the wife as an anniversary gift. While I don't yet have the gameroom built, I've been shopping/collecting various decor for it (including machines). I hadn't see one like this before, so it was a real surprise when she came up with it. The Pinball Wizard part is stamped metal mounted about 1/2 inch above the artwork. I think she said she found it at Michael's.

Now I have to research what games the four images are from (no spoilers please).

Its nice to have a spouse that supports my obsessions 8^)

    Very cool!

Saw them yesterday at Hobby Lobby, they are 50% off right now which makes them $45 (I think)

That is awesome My wife got me one for christmas, i have seen some have put lights behind and backlite the words, really cool.

Congrats on the anniversary and gift. My wife also got me one for Xmas. It looks nice and isn't paper so it will probably outlast me.

My wife got me that for my birthday, looks real good with a black light on it !!

    #7 11 years ago

Love it - I'm searching everywhere and cannot find one. Can you ask where she purchased? Much appreciated.

    #8 11 years ago

Mine was at Hobby Lobby, on clearance too. But that was months ago... I had to double check that this wasn't an old thread! Good luck to anyone hoping to find one!

I was already thinking of how to add LEDs to it - definitely have to try a black light

She got it at Hobby Lobby. She said it was the last one at the local store.

    Nice, want!

I have the Pinball Wizard Drive street sign available on Amazon. Interested in this one of found online anywhere?

Too bad there aren't any Hobby Lobby's in California or else I'd run out and get one.

    #12 11 years ago

My wife says it was the only one on the shelf also. It was in with the pictures and not with the other gameroom type decor where you would think it would be. She just happened upon it while chasing my kid. That's why I never saw it when I went in there.

There are 6 in SoCal. Closest to you would either be Temecula or Laguna Nigel.

They had at least three or four the other day at the local hobby lobby. Yes, I am actually ashamed to admit I was in that store but if it makes it any better I went looking for red plastic to make a DMD filer (they don't sell red plastic) I could buy them to pass on but shipping would be pretty high.

BTW, just wanted to mention, the artwork is Charles Bell, not photographs, which does make them a little cooler!

hhhmmm...do you know if they are from actual tables? Would suck to research tables that don't exist outside his head

Here is the previous thread for this sign, 103 days old:

    http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/the-wife-bought-me-a-sign

Down the page someone shows their backlit one. Probably looks better in person, but shows how the wording is raised.

I doubt Hobby Lobby clearanced them, got more in and clearanced them again so quickly, so anyone finding one now (or 3 or 4!) is pretty lucky!

I actually checked all the stores around here back then for any extras I could pass along at cost, but only found one for myself.

Checked two stores Friday on the way home with no luck, called another further away and they said they had one left, picked it up Saturday.

Don't feel too bad, there always seems to be some good looking women in there when I go

I'm not sure they were actually on clearance. HL is notorious for having a different sell every week where some groups of things are 33% or 50% off. All wood decor was 50% off and I saw it in that group. Although it did have a yellow and red clearance sticker on it, the price on it was half of retail.
Who knows. Moral of the story: don't buy anything from Hobby Lobby at full price. It will be half off soon

I will look tomorrow for you at the HL in Erie, PA.

Wish they had HL here in Maryland... great looking sign.

    #26 10 years ago

I may have a second one that I will sell, as I only found room to hang one of them up. Sold

Went to hobbibby today looking for this, but could not find it...

I got lucky 3 weeks ago, called Hobby Lobby in Hollister, CA and they had 1 left. They even had it marked down due to a slight imperfection on the art work. Brought in a coupon and walked away with it for 25 Smack a Roos! If I remember correctly the full retail was 89.00.
