Quoted from TheGunnett:

I got a few games on it at ReplayFX, couldn’t hear much but fantastic shots. Really impressed by the pro and playing it in person really exceeded my expectations.[quoted image]

Bill would you say pro is ok? Or is premium the way to go?

#4594 4 years ago

I wish Stern had put more features into SW as this pin has.

I edited the post because I don't know SW that well but just that the PF and shots look barren in comparison to Maiden or JP. While I don't think 3-4 flippers are essential they do add another 2-3 additional shots to the same area.

SW >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>JP

Quoted from Yelobird:

Star Wars is a Brutally Mean game and I love playing it Every time! Hopeful JP brings the same or similar rush.

I was talking about the films although I have not watched JP in years.

I found it interesting this or that Maiden v Deadpool. Won’t spoil the decision but sounds like they’re splitting hairs in that both are outstanding. I’m debating the two myself.

Is it too soon for a this or that JP v DP v Maiden?

#4785 4 years ago
Quoted from ZMeny:

Not too early, that’s a good one. Are we talking pros, Prems, Les?

I'd like to hear pro vs pro and premium vs premium.

I am about the point in time where I could swing one addition game for my collection.

I have Maiden pro (but temporary holding it for my friend who has my Tron). I love Maiden pro but not had any time on Maiden premium.

Likewise I love DP and JP but had hardly any time on DP premium and no time on JP premium.

My most important criteria (in order)

-rules/code
-layout/shooting
-lighting/art/sound etc..
-theme (like them all the same)

I do not know a lot about the rules but it almost seems like DP has the least (shallowest) rules? Not sure (but DP seems like the more funny and light hearted of the three).

Looks very nice.

I can hardly believe how many choices we have now.

Someone is loaded.

#5155 3 years ago

I played the pro TMNT today and have to say it does feel loaded. Not with toys but the number of ramps and various targets was impressive especially sitting next to Stranger Things pro. I had to remind myself this was John Borg which he doesn't typically have so much going on with the layouts (3 ramps).

I can't say how I like the game yet on the code it does feel like it's multi ball heavy.

Are they still selling TBL?

Quoted from mbrave77:

Agree on both though I feel many are coming around to SW now. Its not a game you can rate after playing 5-10 times. I disliked it on location but then bought one and love it. So deep

I agree regarding SW.

#5360 3 years ago

I never cared for Stranger Things pin as the center shots and monster shots don’t thrill me and seem to be an inordinate amount of the game although I might not be playing correctly. However if that’s the case, I still fault it because if I’m not playing correctly the game should let me know that or have other fun/interesting areas of play.

I’d rather replace Stranger Things with RBION.

I liked the list but TAF shouldn’t be on the list maybe MB instead. Agree with BM66.

Just watched this or that. Great choices, fun to debate.

Where can I send you a choice for the next time?

#5991 1 year ago

One that I disagree with is TS4 vs DI + NGG Gregg chose TS4 over two pins.

Gregg said DI was arguably a better pin than TS4 but he can’t own it because of the theme.

I say TS4 is a horrible theme because TS4 is a miss. It’s “The Last Jedi” or IJ4 of the franchise.

I’ve never played JP home pin. You should make a separate thread so you can have a poll.

I’d probably lean towards the DE unless it was in rough shape.

I love and own a dozen Stern pins. However there’s no way to have a list of best pins without 4-5 B/W pins.

I understand that modern pins have deeper code and arguably the best modern pinball art as well as new technology like LCDs might make the newer pins more eye catchy.

However unless you specifically say this had to do with deep modern code I’m not sure how you can not put at least 4-5 BW pins.

This list would have been better had it been top10 Stern pins. Add Maiden and Tspp and call it a day.

#6145 9 months ago

IJ and or TZ and or TAF hard to believe one of them didn’t make it along with MM and AFM.
