So here’s a question for the sdtm crew Houdini or POTC considering Houdini is a lot cheaper?

Not sure how you can judge a game before you even play it?

How can you rate such a game like POTC which shoots very slow and boring compared to Iron Maiden and not only that has nothing to do with the movies either and yes I’m talking about pirates where they can’t use any clips with actors or any call outs from the movie either. Iron Maiden crushes POTC on all levels; I just don’t get your review ohh well especially the animations on maiden which are great as well just my two cents

Quoted from BC_Gambit:

Gosh darn it man; is your period key busticated?

Yeah sorry was just going nuts after watching this crappy review of such a great pin; ohh well

#1216 5 years ago

I’ve played both and there is no way pirates is better then Iron Maiden. Maiden is a very unique layout that keeps you on your toes. POTC let’s see they stripped stuff from the game to start ohh and no call outs from the movie or clips either with any of the actors from it either and they are way behind to each their own but if you are a true player; maiden is the clear winner might just be that Zach likes his games to play slow and stop and go which is fine

#1254 5 years ago

Plus I just don’t get how these guys are all crazy about pirates when they are stripping key elements from pirates and Charging such a high amount for the game; I feel JJP is one of the main reasons pricing has gotten out of control what’s the next game going to be 10k?

#1262 5 years ago
Quoted from ZMeny:

Awesome so you’re the one guy that liked the solo act haha

Thanks. Ehh Kaneda doesn’t play enough pinball to do reviews......boom burn

Original code wasnt the best but still better than most other pins out there, even better now.

And yet it still has three times as much going on as IMDN, not that that’s the ultimate factor in making a machine good. 10k for a machine is fine as long as the machine experience reflects that. JJPLE vs Stern LE is laughable at this point

Zach
To each their own I have shot both games and to say pirates shoots as nice as Iron Maiden is laughable. Like I said JJP games are great to look at that’s all for me, but then again I’m a player and less of a collector

Quoted from Goronic:

Maybe the announcement of the ST VE was a knee jerk reaction by Stern to Zach's rating of a D for Iron Maiden theme as a way to shift attention away from IMDN?

Doesn’t matter if Zach gave it a d it’s still selling like hot cakes cause the game kicks ass and is one of the best games Stern has ever made

Cactus canyon is a very interested game and I definitely think it’s next, it won’t use any of the cactus canyon continued software, the cool thing is that the guys that wrote the software for the game works at cgc;so I’m sure he will get to finish it the way it was intended to be which could be pretty cool and there a lots of cool upgrades they could do as well if they do get him to finish the software and we get bionic bart then I’m in all the way; there build quality is second to none and just jaw droppingly great

I’m the end it’s all a matter of opinion on the art; nobody can truly ever be wrong when it comes to opinions because everyone is different, but the art is simply amazing on this game and cf’s best work I think
