You lost me at "STTNG is no fun".

#971 6 years ago
Quoted from Spiderpin:

Wished I lived closer to Zach, I would be on my way to pick up Luci. This must be the fastest you owned and sold a pin. What now you just buy to sale?

He's spent too much time with waspinat0r LOL!

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Greg’s got an AC/DC already!

But it's just a prrrroooo, right?

#1003 6 years ago

Melt the Witch and Destroy the Ring are really mini-wizard modes, so you should exclude them and do a top 10 min-wiz list.

P.S. Battle the Ringmaster should be in that list.

#1006 6 years ago
Quoted from ZMeny:

Destroy the ring is better than all eight below it so we had to include it

Well your JM "is no fun" compounded with the previous STTNG is no fun comment really disqualifies your opinions for me anyway so I'm not sure why I bothered commenting, lol!

That's some funny shit.

Quoted from BigT:

I hate to say this but I do not know if it even says jackpot, nor do I have an idea of how to get a jackpot.

It only calls out Jackpot or Super Jackpot during Rescue Multiball where each of the six main shots has to be hit three times to light the corresponding RESCUE letter, the third time you hit each shot it will say Super Jackpot. E.C.M.B. is all about collecting the three items from the Wizard and the call-outs match that.

If you put up really big points you have combined modes, particularly a Munchkin Mode started AFTER your MB started and / or a Haunted Mode, of course a Crystal Ball mode doubles scoring and if you can keep a ball going on either PF it's then 3x scoring, throw in an HOADC bonus and you'll have huge points (if you've made shots during the mode).

Any artist, manufacturer, or producer of any kind of product who can't accept constructive criticism and not take that out on the reviewer is not going to make it very far in the world, or at least they will be miserable about it. As long as the reviewer is thoughtful and at least somewhat respectful there is no reason they can't be friends or at least friendly with the reviewer. Perfect example, chuckwurt LOVES GOT and no matter how many times I tell him I hate it and think it's awful we remain friends.

People arguing about pinball reviews, and I'm not necessarily talking about SDTM, is one of the more ridiculous things on Pinside. Opinions are like a-holes, everybody has one.

Or so you think. Haha

Well, at least we are if you need help fixing something that's not an E.M.

RecBar is pretty frickin sweet!

Quoted from Yelobird:

Great first look. Kind of laughed Zach dead lifting the game and balancing it on a make shift crate with his Premium Escalera fork lift sitting next to it. lol Look forward to giving the game a try at TPF.

I thought the exact same thing! BTW that stand that Phoebe and Larry let him borrow works very well, but better if you use it the other way (parallel to the back of the game). I've used it several times and I know they use it extensively with no issues at all. I keep meaning to make one myself for taking games to shows but I just keep borrowing theirs.

Quoted from f3honda4me:

What is "GC" short for lol

Giant Curmudgeon.

Quoted from PinMonk:

I'm no prude, but "Altered Monkey" or something like that would convey a similar understanding to those that have followed along and would still get the reference, but it wouldn't be so overtly crass.

But the monkey in Houdini is castrated (for a reason that fits the historical narrative) so this is a direct homage to Houdini, one that I think is perfect.

#3993 5 years ago
Quoted from Jjsmooth:

And I did it Saturday around 8:00, while pre-drinking for the huge Rec Bar tournament that evening.
And I won that too. YEAH!

Jjsmooth is going to be unable to play for a few days while his arm recovers from him patting himself on the back so much!

Quoted from delt31:

almost as bad as when you said Houdini is better than ToM. Good lord.

I watch their show occasionally but don't normally pay attention to their (or anyone else's) reviews but this may have changed my mind because he's right about that one!

Quoted from PinMonk:

So basically free shaker motor for all buyers?

Let's hope not!

#5017 3 years ago
Quoted from Yelobird:

Thats what the advertisement says. Well first 500 anyway along with art blades. Get mine in a few days looking forward to it.

I think he was implying they won't sell more than 500, therefore all buyers would get a free shaker. I hope they sell a lot more than 500! Will be interested to hear your review when you get it.

#5020 3 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Houdini sold a few hundred more than 500. Octoberfest sold a lot less (some say just a few hundred sold), so everyone gets a free shaker on Hot Wheels is a pretty safe bet. The license isn't going to turbocharge AP sales, and whoever pushed for that annoying spinning car should sent to a Pat Lawlor re-education camp.

Such a negative Nancy! I heard in a podcast that the behavior of the spinning car has been changed from what we saw in the brief videos so far.

Anyone else getting this error trying to view the vid?

They've made it private now for some reason.

Quoted from Elvishasleft:

One of those games if it came out today people would have a field day ripping it to pieces...
Cant see half the playfield, ugly ass art, terrible music on and on.
Its a fun game but its goofy as shit.

Well if it came out today from Stern the topper would be a $2500 add-on.
