Love the show guys, my first Pin was a Black Rose, and I found your Black Rose review, now I have watched every show and sub to your Podcast. Your reviews are pretty spot on and entertaining. I gotta ask though you seemed to love Houdini, why did you sell it? Lose too much hair from those tight shots?

Loved every second of this episode... went by way too fast.

Quoted from Darscot:

Why on earth would they not base it on the movie. They literally announced the pin the same time as the Super Duper Uncut edition hit the internet. You have Ryan Reynolds hitting the talk shows and posting about it. The guys guerilla marketing is incredible, one silly post from him and you hit millions of potential buyers. Stern, let's drop rated G Deadpool pin complete with Baby Deadpool just like Baby Mickey and friends, with a core audience of 30+ men. I could live with the comic license if it was still in the same spirit but this is brutal. Great pin, complete waste of the license.

Because I don't think the movies are as timeless as a comicbook/art style they went with... Also the #1 reason would simply be because of the license. I have a feeling you could do pretty much what you want to do with the comicbook license... but with the movie license the artwork would have been toned down, they would have been forced to put movie clips in the lcd... etc. This way they could make the game the way they wanted.

So, more of this type of episode?

I am biased... I love all your episodes. lol... yeah you guys are at your best when you go back and forth shooting the shit. I do like your reviews as well.

Quoted from Darscot:

I can see that perspective, but would you not being dealing with the same license though, its all just Marvel/Disney isn't it? Also your audience is so much bigger with the movie. Ryan Reynolds one post about the super duper cut had 3 million views and climbing. That is a post that he does nothing. One 30 second fake add of him saying something clever and you hit 5 million easy. What did the stern reveal get 10K? It's like the marketing department at Stern doesn't like money. The timing was perfect to ride the coattails of the movie.

As it stands right now the Movie rights are owned by Fox (soon to be Disney). Disney I guess (I could be wrong, but it is what they were saying on the Head2head podcast) more specifically Marvel gives licensees for the strictly comic book stuff a very long leash. Gomez and Yeti didn't have to jump through as many hoops. Plus I am sure Stern saved a lot of money doing this way instead of paying Ryan Reynolds a dump truck full of money to voice the thing.

Greg, I was checking out the overall games final grades so far and man you give out B+'s like Zach gives out dollar bills at the strip club. You are either too nice or you just love all pinball!

And then I watch this episode and damn, the first three categories are B+, B+, B+.... it's like we are stuck in the Matrix. I think you guys just for some spice should review some terrible games. Let's get nasty.

Zach, I feel like you really went cheap on the head band.

It's like those northerners calling a coke a pop, they are all cokes down here.

If you go true north we call them all "soda". A coke is a coke, and a pop isn't a real thing.
