Got my omegas any advice on where to hook up on BKLE?

Quoted from Mando:

Got my omegas any advice on where to hook up on BKLE?

I would trigger the UV+Glow from the “Shield VUK” Flasher #166 (purple arrow) and then any white GI bulb. The easiest ones are in between the upper lanes above the pop bumpers(blue arrow).

Remember to connect to the Omega’s WiFi and adjust the White slider to the right to your designed brightness level. Other wise they will just flash off and on. These things are very powerful. You will see

For a machine that I normally run 100% brightness with Pin Stadiums, on these it can be set to 30-40% as a comparison. They also sync with precision to the machine’s GI as usual. Enjoy!!

I had a customer asking for the best install locations for the flashers on his Stern Iron Maiden Pro. I recommend the Pharaoh flasher located here. If you have Fusions or want to try other locations then here are a plethora of options.

Also here are some customer posted pics of the results you can expect !

Wow the Omegas with the BLUR really look nice on that machine! Thanks for posting this up.

You are the first of many customer just now taking delivery of them. Thanks for posting this up and I am glad you are loving them!!

You have a beautiful collection by the way. Wow!!

Hey Scott, can you suggest trigger locations for Fusions in Jurassic Park LE? I'm installing them for a friend this week.

Thanks ! I really think they work good on this game because of the big metal ramp . My review is they don’t make the colors pop quite as much as the normal ones ... but the blur really gets rid of that candy stripe which and nicely spreads the light , a worthy trade off for sure and the warm light fits the retro style well .

Nicely out and you have explained the exact purpose of the Omegas and are using them exactly how they were intended!! The main Pin Stadiums with the RGB are the “go to” for most we Hines but there are some machines and collector’s where the Omegas are going to satisfy their needs without a doubt.

I would recommend starting with:

#172 Left Ramp Flash
#160 Escape Flash
#163 Raptor Pit Flash
#171 Spinner Jackpot Flash
Shaker Motor

I hope this helps!! Let us all know what you think and where you finally land them and what colors

Ok, I'll give it a shot.

He's also getting a Big Lebowski soon and a set of Omegas. Any suggestion for the UV Glow flasher location on that one?

Sure thing glad I could help. Check in and let us know what you decide. I will be installing a set on JPLE shortly so I can post up what I find.

As far as Lebowski goes the GI chips are surface mount on the PCB. I’m working with some customer’s machines to help me to figure the best location on that one for the GI to sync.

The Omegas will be great on that as the warm white is the best on that machine. But the regular Pin Stadium with the gold color in the app is very cool too.

In the meantime you can connect use the wire taps here on the yellow and blue wires for the GI. They will be constant on all the time but it really works great still and brings that playfield massively alive.

For the flashers I will have to work on that more and see what we can figure out. It will definitely be one of the 3 orange flasher domes. Could require some fine soldering since they are addressable. In the meantime the other method in these pictures works great no soldering easy.!!

INSTALLING PINSTADIUM AND HOVERS INTO AN STERN STAR WARS PREMIUM

Recently I installed Pinstadium’s new product into my Star Wars Prem pinball machine. The product is called Hovers and is a new type of mounting system for the Pinstadium pinball cabinet lighting system.

Got my hovers today. Does anyone have any clue where to put them on the righthand side of the playfield on a JD? Specifically on the back half. Thought I was able to sneek one in on the outside of the ramp, but the playfield won't raise or lower. Just snapped a hover trying to lower the playfield and I don't have many to spare.

Ugh, not something I want to hear. I have them for my JD as well but mine is currently torn down so I have yet to install them. I know it is tight over there, so hopefully someone that has done it can let us know?

I installed them on my SS and that went fine. I haven't installed the hovers on my WOZ yet and am a bit curious how that is going to go as well, especially with the castle playfield on the back left. Im not sure where I am going to put my hovers on that side.

Ok. Snuck this in place. Right now it is freestanding and I did not attach it to the playfield with the adhesive tape. It is very tight and I'm not sure about raising and lowering the playfield but for now it is time to play a few games and haves some fun.

For WOZ the tall Hover fits nicely behind the castle playfield in the very back nd the medium Hover just in front of it where the castle walls begin. If you need pics when you go to install let me know.

Pics would be great just for reference, but I think I can visualize what you mean. Im assuming you left out the word "back" as in the tall hover goes behind the castle playfield in the very back? Thanks for the response.

Thanks Scott for the install support on my Oktoberfest. The blurs are just what it needs instead of color moods. No striping on any of the plastic and metal ramps this game has that would take away from the world under glass feel. Most of all annoying reflection right where Otto's bar door opens is now gone so I can see when to plunge. I put a 10th highest score on this game just after installing them. Luck? My pictures are with the glass on to show the reduced glare and lights set to 75%.

Here are the Pin Stadium connections for Chicago Gaming Company Monster Bash Remake.
Very easy install but it’s imprortant to have these. The “BP Moon” is for the GI and the Frankenstein Flasher is for the UV+Glow flasher feature. Huge results on this game and compliments the MBR lightshow in an incredible way.
Also many don’t know this but the AFMR and MBR playfields are UV reactive so when the Pin Stadium flash fires off it’s brings things out in the playfield never seen before.
Be prepared to be blown away from this !!
Great job CGC!!

Inside the accessory packet you will have wire taps that simply slide in next to those wires from behind and then you can clip on to those. Polarity does not matter so you can put them on either side.

I took a second look at this and see that your plug is missing. That’s strange. It should be somewhere under there. Maybe it is not attached. What version of MBR is that? It should look like this. Trying to figure out why yours is missing. I’m the meantime if you don’t see the plug you would cut the ends off the GI cables and either solder or just strip them and heat shrink them on. That would be clean and work.

Pin Stadium installed on my Getaway - looks amazing!

This machine has lots of colors in the plastics and playfield artwork. For those who are looking to brighten up your machine using PS's amazing new Omega product, the diffused white is a perfect choice as opposed to the RGB lighting of the traditional Pin Stadium light bars. My only problem now is that the Getaway looks so much better and brighter than my other machines, guess I'll have to be a repeat customer.

Just a quick heads up for new Pinstadium users!!!

I recently had an unexpected power outage while my games were on and it reset two of my Pinstadiums. It should have been a quick setup to get them back on my network, but a recent iOS update to 13.x.x made it impossible to get them grouped onto my account with my other Pinstadiums.

On my iPhone6S+ (iOS 13.1.2) in Settings, I was able to see the LEDnet8Cxxxx network in the 'other' networks, but once connected and returning back to the Pinstadium application, the app refuses to connect to finalize its configuration and display all of my Pinstadiums grouped on the main menu.

The only way I found that I could get my affected Pinstadiums back to normal function was to connect to them directly via Wi-Fi, but then they are inconveniently not grouped together on the app's main menu.

In short, if you've got Pinstadiums to install and you're planning on using an Apple iOS device to get them configured, DO NOT upgrade to iOS 13.x.x quite yet. Apparently, Apple has been releasing multiple updates this week after the release of iOS13 to fix an apparent problem inhibiting its Wi-Fi capabilities.

Thankfully, my wife has an 'archaic' iPhone6 (stalled on iOS 12.4.6) which Apple has refused to push iOS13 to, so I was able to use her phone to complete the re-configure.

I sent Scott some screenshots with a description of what the problem was and he quickly responded and got me headed in the right direction. Scott is always SUPER FAST and RESPONSIVE.

Hey I appreciate you posting this and explaining this too. The new Apple IOS 13 has been very difficult for Apple to deal with in terms of bug fixes. There have been 4 updates by them in the last week or so to address known issues.

The good news is they are working diligently on the code and from what I can see the Pin Stadium app seems to be compatible but just waiting for their patches to resolve this.

To be clear, the app still works great and will control your lights as normal. But if you are resetting them or adding a new one to WiFi it may give you an error. But the good news is that you can still directly connect to the Pin Stadiums’s WiFi that it’s generates “LEDNet****” to control them. It’s just a little buggy when trying to get it added to your Wifi as he mentioned.

Even the Department of Defense (DOD) has issue a warning to their employees to not update to IOS 13 as a result of these known issues.

So don’t be in a hurry to update and cancel the update prompts from IOS 12 to IOS 13 for now if you can. Settings/General/Software Update “OFF”

Chances are good that most of your devices have auto updated to it, and if that is the case patience is a virtue. Look for an old updated iPhone or a friend’s Android to add it if you “must” have it in your Wifi network.

So no worries, just wanted elaborate on this. It’s all good! Pin Stadium moving full speed ahead still!

It never fails to really fuel me when I see these classic machines come brilliantly alive in a new light. They appear to be instantly transformed to a modern machine once the Pin Stadiums fire up each time the machine boots and the GI comes on.

Thanks for posting this and putting these to such a great test on a perfect machine for them. Job well done!

Finally got a video of the Fusions and Hovers on my Hobbit. I added a red flasher off of the Smaug Eye, a yellow flasher off the gold flasher, and white flashers off of the barrels and shaker motor. The video really doesn’t do it justice, but you get the idea.

I just got done watching the video and I really like how you choreographed the Fusions flashers with this machine. I’m going to save this and bookmark this for my reference for others install Fusions on The Hobbit. I think I will tweak my machine to these settings. Especially after seeing the “Into the Fire” opening light show sequence. I’m jealous now

I know from personal experience that VillaThrills shared his talent on this one. Job well done and thanks for the coverage on this machine with both products. Very appreciative of you.

If you are installing these on this machine then this is your bible without a doubt.

I hadn’t added Pinstadiums to my Iron Maiden because I didn’t like the reflections on the metal ramps. I was excited when the “Omegas” were released and bought a second set for my Jurassic Park LE. I just received them both and got them installed. I play in a dark arcade room setting with blue overhead LEDs.
The pictures are with the Pinstadium Omegas off , set to 74% - my favorite, and 100% .

Scott I am having my ramps powdercoated --should I still use Omega?

It won't matter then, but the RGB on the regular Pin Stadiums when set on Green really makes the playfield POP! Also when powder coating ramps it is best to keep them freshly waxed as it is known to not hold up as well sometimes on them. If it's home use only you should be fine if you do that. Here is an example on a JPLE.

I've been thinking about doing this for awhile but decided to go ahead and try it. As you know (if you care) flasher integration into Capcom games doesn't really work per normal methods because of the lamp and flasher matrixes plus the limitation on input voltage to the PS sense circuit. This is far from rocket science and others have probably thought of it as well but by tieing into the drive circuit on the board in the backbox I've verified that you should be able to use just about any coil or motor to activate the flashers. I'm not going to post details here because I don't want to risk being responsible for someone blowing up a pretty damned scarce Capcom board but if you know what you are doing and want details feel free to PM me - my method does not require any alteration to the board or soldering. The video below is pretty crappy but does show it working on PM tied to the pop bumper, I like this because these are really fast, short pulses that keeps the UV flasher from washing things out too much. I will probably try it on the Wand magnet coil drive when I get around to it but I suspect that will be too much, too often on this game. This same method should theoretically work on other games with similar challenges like JJPs, Houdini and Oktoberfest but I've not investigated that enough to be sure.

That’s really ingenuity at its best and love the fact that this unleashes even more possibilities of trigger points with the Pin Stadiums. I know that you love this machine a lot and it was one of the very first Pinball Magic’s with Pin Stadiums I’m the world.

Very cool and thanks for the post!!!

Over this last weekend it seems that a large number of Monster Bash owners are installing Pin Stadiums and I wanted to let you know that I have updated the instructions on the Pin Stadium website to allow you to zoom and enlarge the Frankenstein flasher location that you will use to trigger the UV+Glow flasher of the Pin Stadiums from. Please visit: https://pinstadium.com/installation-instructions-pin-stadiums/

Under "Step 1" there is a Chicago Gaming section and under that Monster Bash Remake. Let me know if you have any other questions and in the meantime take a look at the results on this machine!! Also as a side note the MB playfield is secretively UV reactive and many don't know this, but you will reveal what I am talking about when the Pin Stadiums are installed and the UV+Glow flasher ignites it. Very cool!!!
