I have working hard to get the orders filled and they are shipping out regularly daily. My goal is to have them all filled in a few weeks. So with that said I can’t jump you ahead due to the backlog of orders.
If I gave you free shipping since you already have them on order (which I am fine with) that would mean I need to combine the orders but then it moves your 7/11 order to now. It’s how my order system functions.

Ok. No worries.

Okay I saw another order come in for them but it wasn’t you so just got this message here. We are good !!

Okay here is an update further on things. This week was extremely and unusually busy with orders more than normal but I managed to get all Pin Stadiums and Fusions out and shipped Friday.

I have also updated the Hover installation section of the website to accommodate the Fusions Hover installs now that those are shipping also. The only difference is you just skip one part: https://pinstadium.com/hover_installation_led_pinball_lights/

Many great things happening so be sure to check all of these guys out starting today and through this week:

Buffalo Pinball https://www.twitch.tv/buffalopinball will now be using the Pin Stadiums on their streams starting with Doctor Who. So be sure to check them out. Kevin Manne is excited to be using these to help get their streams even better than they already are now!!

FlipnOut Pinball (hosted by Ken and Bill from Special When Lit https://specialwhenlitpinballpodcast.libsyn.com/ ) will will be back in action with Jurassic Park and stuff and as always the lighting to these machines are powered by Pin Stadiums: https://www.twitch.tv/flipnoutpinball

The Pinball Mafia: Will have them on Captain Fantastic tonight! https://www.twitch.tv/thepinballmafia/ These guys are hilarious and they do pinball gameshow trivia too!

DeadFlip Jack Danger: Everyone knows where to find him but just in case: https://www.twitch.tv/deadflip/ He has been using the Pin Stadiums for several months now with no additional lighting on this streams. Also has provided valuable input into the design of them too. Pretty Cool!!!

Martin from Head2Head http://www.head2headpinball.com/ as always has his streams powered by them too. Very entertaining if you can get up early to see it then it will be worth your while: https://www.twitch.tv/melbournesilverballleague There is always video on demand in case you miss him.

SDTM's Chuck Wurt https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAoeA05zcyksTEN3dEXCzCA will be also using them in his very informative and fun Twitch streams: https://www.twitch.tv/sdtmpinball/

Not much as there’s a lot of work to be done. I spend about 70-80 hours a week now building and doing customer support/filling orders. It’s not pretty as I have a fume mask on most of the time on the production line. No joke!!

Just snapped some pics of POTC (spotlights are commonly pulled after Pin Stadium install since they are no longer needed) and a pic of The Pinball Mafia stream with the Pin Stadiums in Captain Fantastic. Look at those before and afters.

You can remove these and then just trigger the Pin Stadium GI from their original connection.

Love the before and after pic from our Pinball Mafia stream last night. For streamers the new units are invaluable! Solves two problems with one product. Playfield lighting and Player face lighting! We’ve done some convoluted things to light player faces in the past lol. The standard fusion units we installed on the Iron Maiden are super sweet! I wish I could afford to put them on all 20 of our games now haha. I love being able to dial in a color temp to suit the game. (Sorry we didn’t do trivia last night that you mentioned above on the streamer list. We usually do it every other week and since we skipped last weeks stream for Pinburgh it was a grey area as to if we should but with two members not able to attend the beginning of the cast we pushed it till next week)

Yes your stream looked incredible last night and I could never have imagined a pinball machine of that era displaying so well. You guys have a really nice thing going and the Pin Stadiums brought it to another level thanks to all the work that you guys put into your set up!!

If anyone is looking for a super entertaining stream on Sunday evenings then these are your guys. I highly recommend them.

Thank you also KingNine for your outstanding support for all of the products. I’m glad you are enjoying them and that’s all that matters!!

My set of lights is acting up. They are dropping out of the app and reverting to a flashing colors mode when they do. I have to add them as a new set each time in the app and re-do the color and warmth settings.

I tried the unplug them 4 times fast deal I saw posted elsewhere in the thread. They are in a batman 66. Flash is hooked up to the pop bumper area if that is relevant.

Did you add them to your WiFi network too once they were up on the app?

New SDTM Cary Hardy video on Installation of Pin Stadium Lights and Fusion System On TOTAN

This Iron Man is coincidentally the machine I first designed the Hover's on during the early development stages. To date it stills has the original prototypes on them too that chuckwurt saw for the first time. What was nice about this machine is that the ramps are right next to the cabinet wall which made it a perfect machine to design the "sneak in" feature for the Hovers. It really pushed me to come up with a slim and yet strong profile that could accomplish this for us all when install into any pinball machine.

It's hard to tell from the pics, but are the Fusions sitting completely flush with the sides of the cabinet? Are you getting any light bleed through the sides?

A followup to that, it kind of looked like the magna-mounts on the light bar itself were removed. Or am I mistaken?

I don't plan on leaving the magna-mounts on my cabinet as they are already peeling off a bit as it is, but I'd like to get the Fusions as close to the cabinet as possible to reduce light bleed. I'll probably leave the magna-mounts on the Fusions to help with that.

There is no need to remove the Magna-Mounts on the machine (or light bar) now that the Hovers design has been reinforced to be able to lift past. So you can do either and for those of you that thought you had to remove the mounts and didn’t want to deal with that, now you don’t need to. Which makes conversion even easier and better.

I should clarify a bit as to why I say it does not matter if you have the Magna-Mount on the light bar or cabinet side as you will be able to position the Hover mount so that it stand right next to the wall of the cabinet. They have a nice subtle angle on the base that allows them to lean slightly into the cabinet wall for a snug fit. Again I tried to thing of everything when doing these to make you all happy campers!!

Hey everyone! Just tried out the new Xstreams. They mount to the outside of the game for easy transport from game to game. See how well they light up the game below. Also, I was worried about the ribbed side rails of Genesis not working well with the magnets on the xstreams, but they worked great!

Yes this is a great topic to bring up especially with the recent influx of orders over the last couple weeks and a majority of them are for the new Stern Spike 2 system machines. This would be the best time to remind everyone of this so you don't think there is no service port. Stern has simply moved them behind the right speaker and they are no longer in the bottom of the cabinet starting with Spike 1.

As Jurassic Park machines begin landing all across the world, lots of collectors are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Pin Stadium shipping tubes for these machines. A bunch were shipped out yesterday and tracking emailed too.

If you have not had a chance to see JP yet in person, it's amazing along with the game play. The Pin Stadiums will have a HUGE impact on the artwork and I am excited for you all to get see and play this machine with them installed. WOW!!

I do not have a recommended flasher location yet, but I will keep you posted as others and myself get a chance to play with the location to trigger the UV+Glow from. Shaker motor is always a safe bet even if you don't have one you can enable it and trigger from there, but I am sure I will come up with some other prime triggers.

Exciting!!!!

Just got the notice that my Hovers are shipping. Woo hoo!

I will continue to get the Hovers out as fast as I can and I have just about doubled production over a period of 2 days.

Every machine is going to have different locations that the Hovers will fit so when you guys get them please post up some shots of the location to help others if you don’t mind. This will be cool to see too!!

Also if you get in a situation where you need advice I can give you example on my machines if I have that one.

Today where the customer was installing on WOZ and he was wondering if he should install the tall Hover mount in front of or behind the upper castle playfield wall on the left side of WOZ in the back.

I snapped these pics to show where to do the “sneak in” and also there the middle Hover will go (right in front of the castle wall nestled next to it). Basically slide it in under the castle playfield and lift it just a bit to get past the wires under there.

I hope this helps!!

That’s something I honestly didn’t think about regarding the ribbed rails. Fortunately I used some very strong Magna-Mounts from the Pin Stadium Fusions. I’m glad you pointed this out as I am sure others wondered about this.

Also the X-Streams are non-marring and safe for powder coating too. This has been a question that has come up.

Your stream looked great and I am glad you are pleased with the results. If anyone would know it would be you. Job well done!!

#5341 4 years ago

I installed my first set on FT yesterday. They work as advertised, and I won't need to remove them to lift the playfield!

I didn't have a lot of time, and I really don't have a lot of patience, so...

I opted to go with the alternative 2 mounts vs 3. I needed to go with a sneak in on the left side and mounting the tallest one on either side would've been a challenge.

Adjusting the height is key once you find the ideal spot. You have to clip the hover in a spot where there's no chip, but you also must be certain that you have clearance to slide the glass back on as the clip sits slightly higher than the light bar. Oh, and clipping off the small section of invisishield was a breeze.

I managed to crack one of the small mounts by over tightening the screw(something Scott warns of in the install instructions!). it was just a small piece that broke off, and it still works fine. My lack of patience was likely the root cause.

One thing I'm not crazy about is the contrast of the yellow pin blades along the top. This is partially due to a less than perfect install of the blades, but I ask you this:

Would you run an exacto knife or box cutter along the top of the light bars and remove the small strip of yellow pin blade? I know it's not a huge deal, but I think it would be a cleaner look.

Next up: Fusions on IMDN, followed by MMR or CFTBL!

Quoted from Mtg381:

That’s awesome you got them installed and they look really good. Also you covered the key points of the install and especially about being careful not to over tighten which is a great point. Also make sure that the Hover clip clears in between the UV+Glow LED and chips on the underside of the light bar(facing down). There are many open spots there but you have to check first to make sure you are in a good location. These LED's are not off the shelf ones as they are very expensive custom made ones I designed and engineered along with the GI/RGB ones too (but you don't need to worry about these for the Hover install). So just be sure to follow the instructions under Step 2 and it's very easy. Here is the link: https://pinstadium.com/hover_installation_led_pinball_lights/

The Hovers vertical adjustment system is solid with a precision fit so making the screw just snug is perfect and will work great.

I do see what you mean about the side blades being installed a little bit high and with the lighter artwork it’s more noticeable. I’m detailed like you so it would bother me also so I totally get it.

Two options are that you can take a small metal flexible ruler and use an exacto knife to trim it just below the light bar line or if you don’t trust your skills or patience then the alternative is to just get some thin black matte pin striping from the auto store or hobby store. Looks like 1/4 would do just fine.

I hope this helps and man thanks for the pics on this. Looking good and I have to admit I feel really spoiled with the Hovers. It does give you the factory feel.

Great suggestion guys!!

*Note: Another thing to mention for those of you that don’t want to remove the Magna-Mounts even though they come off easy (use a little heat from a hair dryer). When I redesigned the Hovers to be strong and more streamlined, they are now able to push past the magnetic bond of the mounts so you can leave them were they are if you like.

Thanks for the tips!

Oh yeah! I removed the magna-mounts from the sides of the machine with very little effort. The magnets remain on the light bars because I had previously secured them with expoy.

I definitely plan to take the old magnets strips off the sides of the machine as I have done that before when I have sold pins and kept the Pinstadiums. I found they came off pretty easy and a little alcohol got rid of any glue residue.

I get that you did not want to mess with the ones on the light bars as you had attached them with epoxy, but for those of us that just have the original glue holding them on, I was wondering if there is any advantage/disadvantage to taking the magnets off the light bars themselves before attaching the Hovers?

What have others that have installed their Hovers already done?

There is no need or advantage to removing the ones off the light bars and those don't come off very easy or clean. Just leave them on and you will be fine.

Will do. Thanks Scott!

You are welcome and just for others reading this thread, the reason I mention you can install them with or without the Magna-Mounts are for those of you that know there is a back order of Hovers and were waiting to order (or install) the Pin Stadiums or Fusions. You can order them now as the Pin Stadiums and Fusion are in stock shipping "Same Day"!!

Then when the Hovers arrive you can simply convert the kit then. Works perfect that way.

Another tip that I have updated on the Hover instructions on the website for those owners of the Pin Stadiums who are converting to the Hovers.

To make the install even easier if you make a reference mark by using a piece of electrical tape on the light bar where you plan to slide on the Hover upper clip.

This will allow you to accurately see where you need to position the clip and trim the Invisi-Shield so it aligns between the LED chips on the UV+Glow flasher side.

Also I’m at 70+ hours this week as usual with building (and doing customer support of course) the Pin Stadiums and accessory products, but in particular last night was a very late one of assembling and shipping the Hovers.

A lot of you guys will have tracking information in your email inbox by the time you read this. I’m up early again working on more.

It’s been very busy recently and I’m putting in even more time to help service you guys. I’m very appreciative of all of you.

This pic is what you are looking for.

Here is a bit of a clearer image of where the Hover clip can go on the UV+Glow light bar side. The green arrows indicate safe places to slide the clip onto. Instructions update to reflect this also: https://pinstadium.com/hover_installation_led_pinball_lights/
