Quoted from Azgym:

So after some fine tuning and finagling, I finished installing a set of Hovers on my KISS LE. After some time, my magna-mounts were not adhering to the side art blades anymore. The Hovers solved that problem and the ability to lift the playfield and not have to remove the Pinstadium light bars - GAME CHANGER! Thanks Scott![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I am going to use this for pics as it turned out so nicely!!

Here are the complete pics of the suggested Hover locations for IMDN

Keep in mind that these are just suggested places for IMDN and as long as you use the rule of mounting the Hovers based upon the instructions:
https://pinstadium.com/hover_installation_led_pinball_lights/

Quoted from pinstadium:

Thanks for posting and letting me know. The Pin Stadium does work with your machine for sure as you have a cabinet and a machine that outputs voltage. However the specific listing to this is a feature of Pinside, not me directly and I don't have the ability to remove it specifically for that machine (I checked). That would be something to ask an admin about and maybe they can help since it's a function of the marketplace. Makes sense not to have it listed to it since there is only one, so I totally get it if it's your own homebrew machine.

Why don't you have the ability to remove it? You control the store inventory, right? And in there is the control for which games your products/ads are linked to. Maybe I'm missing something.

Yes it does not allow a specific removal in the interface for a specific machine in this scenario. This would be only potentially changeable on the server of Pinside with coding change.

There are many possible locations to mount them. However I’m always happy to offer advice especially if I have the machine or if you post up some pics or videos we can figure it out if anyone feels they need advice.

#5059 4 years ago

As long as you follow this advice you will be good.

This is the “sneak in” technique to use when you think you can get into a particular location. You will be surprised where you can get the Hovers

What is the specific instance you speak of? Are these not just regular store ads/inventory? That's all I could imagine, for the way they dominate the results and your suggestion that they can't be modified. Special hidden ad interface maybe? I can surely modify the regular store inventory I post:

Lies. Another vendor removed his product. The issue is you spammed my game in your list when you submitted it.
YOU need to fix this- end-of-story.

It's not set up that way with my interface for this product. Talk to Robin and he will explain as I would totally remove it right now if it was possible to pull a specific game out as there is no benefit for me to link to your machine by any means. I totally get what you mean by it not being needed since it's a homebrew and I am sure it can be fixed with some re-coding.

This is a very cool and important part of the design of the Hovers which allows you to get into the tiniest of places.

So in Step "1" of the above referenced picture there you will face it downward (towards the playfield) and then raise the opposite end up as you push down. This will let the Hover climb smoothing alongside of the object so that you can get it down to a the mounting position on the playfield. Using this method will open up a world of wonders for your Hover install.

#5067 4 years ago

For Black Knight Premium/LE when installing Hovers on the Fusion I found that if I raised the playfield to a slight angle with the playfield support rails I was able to slide the Hover under the upper levels of plastics to get to the bottom one that rests on the playfield. This was very helpful to easily get them in proper positioning.

I'm not talking to robin to fix your damn problem sir. Quiet simply; I'm calling you a [self censoring to Pinside rules - be nice] who can't be bothered to maintain your listings because you went in and physically added 280 games to your listings. Just to ensure you got "premier" placement in every one thread on Pinside.
If you do have some special interface because you've got "marketing rights" above the average Pinside marketplace... then by all means prove it. Otherwise; stop what your doing and go edit EVERYONE of your products and remove my game. I don't think it's right that your trying to play stupid when you clearly did something for "marketing benefit" when you knew it was wrong and didn't care.

Here is the right rear Hover location which is as easiest to access with the playfield raised and you can slide it in from behind those plastics. Works great!!

Being able to have the honor to be on stage with PAPA last year and this year is quite the sight to see.

Doug and the crew are so dedicated to what they do. It’s amazing how they take an extremely complicated event and make it such a professionally smooth experience for everyone. They simply love what they do and do it with pure passion.

My appreciation grows continually for what they do for our community.

saw 3 games with Pinstadiums still ON at Pinburgh even though games were turned off. It was noted on games that the Pinstadiums caused issues and that is why the games were off.

in B finals, your product fell off a game during competitive play 2x. They had to remove the product.

FYI, sounds like some pretty big issues when using these in games during competitive play and now the confirmed potential for critical failure during playoffs at the largest event ever!!!

Great feedback and good point to bring up as to clarify this. The one game that had that issue was not a PAPA and brought by someone and after transport it's very important to resecure the lights fully on the mounting system. If they are not properly aligned end to end fully when put back then that issue can occur, and that one appeared to have been put on fast for the during event. Easy fix and wish I had been on that bank to check it.

The ones that were on all the time were machines that were wired special for Pinburgh directly to separate power/trigger. So when the games are off the lights are still on and in fact that is how we did all of the Final 12 games since these were set up with disabled GI interactivity (GI on all the time) so the players have even better and continual visibility for them and equally as important for the camera aperture so it does not have to counteract the lights going on/off fading. Another cool feature ability of the lights which makes them even more versatile for competition mode. If anyone would like to do this for comp play please message me and I will tell you how.

Looking forward to next year as PAPA and Pin Stadium will be doing some really cool things to make it even better!

Now with this new code by Dwight for Game of a Thrones (GOT) it has a huge revival. I had many requests for some Before & Afters on this machines. Results are astounding! This code is a game changer.

happened multiple times, even after resecuring.

Same thing I have experienced when playing on route and the product falls into the game, rendering it down for the count.

Yep exactly that is a perfect example of how important it is to have them aligned end to end as the Magna-Mount system’s magnetic pull is calculated for that which creates central alignment.

This is a great opportunity to mention a highlighted point in the instructions which is even MORE important. A common mistake when doing an install is to take the mounts off that are already on the back of the light bars.

These are matched here at the Pin Stadium factory and if you reverse them that will shift polarity and cause this issue. When done properly they are solid as a rock which is why at at Pinburgh I am there to personally install them as everything is so important at this event.

The work that PAPA does to ensure that these games are in top top shape before, during, and after gameplay is insane. I love to see that attention to detail and am honored to be considered part of that.

#5093 4 years ago
Quoted from pinstadium:

am honored to be considered part of that.

after feedback from many players this year... I am not so sure you will be part of it going forward.

Between lights falling off mid game, your weird seagway robot thing getting in the way at times, and just general dislike of the aftermarket product on competition games by players that played on those banks; I have to think there may be enough player revolt to be done with this stuff in competitive games.

Similar to how players hated the change to deadbounce flipper rubbers and those were largely done away with.

#5094 4 years ago

Feedback is always good and is what drives the future which brings me to next announcement. PAPA loves what we are doing for the event so much that Pin Stadium is working with them on a brand new product designed by and for professional competitive players and PAPA that is going to be truly amazing. Next year you guys will see some great enhancements for lighting including likely functional integration of bots that Doug from PAPA loved having this year. This time though used to improve the experience as this was just a testing ground for what comes next. Just like what Jack Danger and Pin Stadium X-Streams did for streaming, this will be honed just for high end comps. Pin Stadium "Pinburgh" Editions here we come!!!

https://pinstadium.com/product/x-stream/

This reminds me to let everyone know to stay tuned to the PAPA TV channel in the coming weeks and months for this and many other things. These guys deserve a round of applause for taking the time out of their busy daily life schedules to deliver one of the highest quality events in pinball to us each year. We are lucky to have them in our pinball community. Job well done!!!

So exciting to know what is coming. Stay tuned....

Regarding the Fusion installation instructions:

I have made some updates based upon installation feedback to help make things easier when connecting the flashers. Fusions are now pre-programmed with these factory default colors for instant "out of the box" fun (hence why the colors don't match up with buttons colors, lol). As a result, this diagram will help to reference them much easier when you are installing. Thanks TheCapn for this input.
