The game had further issue (minor bugs) and the patch was updated on december 5. Please do not use the older one released.

Hey man, is there any where you explain how you make these modifications to older bally/Williams roms? it would really be great if there was more of a community of rom modifications. You do an excellent job btw!!!

I agree. I'd love to be able to do some software mods/fixes. It would be great to get the "double scoring" bug fixed if nothing else.
(and yes, I probably DO have the skills required - I have 35 years of programming experience, almost 30 of it doing console video games and flight simulators)

I think they fixed it!

After the December 1 release, I was made aware of a couple of issues with the game I had no knowledge off. The patch has been replace with a new one where these issues have been fixed. The change list first post has been updated.
Quoted from soren:Could be. What is wrong with it?
The biggest shortfalls with flintstones is that its a bit too easy to start the 4 main modes, then also the wizard mode "mystery mode" is weak. It would be cool if instead of just completing 1-2-3 to start a mode, the sequence needed to be completed faster for each mode. So for the first mode, just complete 1-2-3, but then add a timer to complete 1-2-3 to start mode 2, and faster for 3 and 4. Then maybe "mystery mode" you need to complete the 1-2-3 sequence in perfect succession to start. As for the wizard mode "mystery mode" I don't know how in-depth you can change the rules. It would be great to re-do the whole thing and make it a 4 ball multiball mode with some really great goals/awards; right now its just 1 ball and you complete the drop targets to get 100mil. Also the flashers on this game don't seem to be programmed well. it seems like they just all flash sometimes. other games seem to have better flasher programming.
soren, the community is thankful for your work and it really helps some of these great pinball games play even better!
The displayed info is now corrected and cleaned up. The software is tested and released.

That's cool. I'm curious what console systems/games you worked on?
Hopefully this won't sound too much like bragging...but you asked.
I started working on the original Game Boy in 1991. I left the game industry in 2008. I've been working in the defense industry (doing military training systems) since then. I have published titles on Game Boy, Game Gear, NES, Genesis, Sega CD, PS1, PS2, PS3, N64, Game Cube,XBOX, X360, and PSP.
The first game I did was Rocky and Bulwinkle for Game Boy, and the last I worked on was WALL-E for PS3. I did a lot of various racing titles, some Star Trek stuff, and Mission:Impossible.
I actually was working on a Pinball simulator for PS1 and Sega Saturn, but the company that I was working for went out-of-business before I could finish it. Sad too, as I was quite happy with the way the physics felt. I had a playable prototype with pop-bumpers, drop targets, slingshots, ramps, and even multi-ball all working. It still had a long way to go, but it was really showing promise.
Just picked up the prototype that has been sitting in box for almost 17 years. Original and in perfect condition. Been waiting a long time to find a perfect example and should be here in a few weeks. Might need help with this one, no battery damage as was from collector who removed the batteries, but im sure sitting this long its gonna need fine tuning. Love this game and been waiting a long time to join this club! Anyone know if there are side blades or decals?. If not will put the mirror ones in.
My friend just made this for me. It’s one ROM chip but there are two in the game U26 and U27. I replaced U27 but now the game doesn’t work. Was that the wrong slot, or is something else awry?
I'm fairly certain that your friend needs to patch both roms at U26 and U27 for this to work properly.
If your friend put both patched roms on one chip, further modification of the system 11 MPU is necessary. (JUMPERS)
The Radical mod is for both U26 and U27.
And if the chips used are of larger capacity than the ROM images, these will have to be dublicated, 2, 4, 8 times, whatever it may be, to fill them up.
We all wish this was easier.

I just patched the U26 and U27 mods for Mousin' and burned the 2 new ROMs onto Winbond W27C512s. Machine doesn't boot though. What did you mean by the "duplicating 2, 4, 8 times"?
Cheers!
U26 image is 16KB and must be repeated 4 times to fill you 64KB chip.
U27 image is 32KB and must be repeated 2 times to fill you 64KB chip.
club! Anyone know if there are side blades or decals?. If not will put the mirror ones in.
Got some sideblades from england ,posted earlier in this thread . Look great .made a cheese shaped shooter toooo , vance

Was able to repeat the modded ROMs on the chips as you suggested, and it totally worked!
Just had a nice league night with Mousin' on the lineup, the new code has gone over nicely.
cheers mate
