Yep I approved the brackets on Thurs after three revisions.
I have everything but the brackets. Hoping to have them in someones hands for Expo.

yes and not yet. the two designs i am working with requires a new led which I will have by the 12th for testing.

Update on Metallica I am down to my last box of pops roughly 30 sets then they are gone.

ACDC bolts should start contacting those on list first week of Dec. assuming I get my brackets on time.
ACDC pop caps have been put on back burner till tron caps have all shipped and acdc bolts shipped.
The light dissipation through the acdc cap was not what I wanted....so delay but not dead.

Just a quick update I know it has been a month.

Best to view the vids and see which you like better. Martin and Pam are great just two very different ways of making a great mod.

I went for a rock concert light battery look that will light up and build to a super bright flash tied into the actual voltage put out by the power board. I designed my bolts to light form a 9v to 24v surge. So the look of the bolt depends on the surge of power sent to the board much like a rock concert light battery. Adding my mod to my machine has made me a spinner shot lover , its a very cool effect during normal game play. Thunder struck will take on a whole new meaning once installed. Also the bolts are active in every mode so its a great bang for buck mod without being overpowering. In my vid you can see how exactly the panel will work and the bracket I am waiting on will frame out the led pad as noted above. Lastly I wanted to price my mod so that every ACDC could and should have them. $99.95 plug in and play set of three. These will literally take 15 min-20min to install on all models. They are a direct replacement for your stock plastic bolts. Pre orders filled first then retail wholesale orders will be filled. I have two retail locations that will carry .......looking for AU and EU . Bulk orders of 10+ kits at special pricing outside USA.

Quick update.
Bolt brackets will be here in a few days. Assuming all is well assembly starts Wed invoices will be sent via paypal. Shipping will be on a first pay basis. I will fill all preorders first before wholesale.

KC - I have stress tested these 72 hrs straight at 18v but they are rated 12-24v. Stern operates flashers under 20v so I overbuilt just in case.
Yes they can be replaced if one ever fails. I plan on stocking the from now till they stop making ACDC then will sell down.

I will be getting some chrome samples next Friday. Also going black chrome powder - thinking about red to match the premium red Stern used. Dont want to get too fancy and get people confused.

Ties in they both go off. You do not lose the flasher you gain a bolt flash.

Thank you for the review. I removed the old bolts from the top then removed the ramp entrance targets from the bottom. Thread the wire lead from the new bolt down that hole then reinstall stand ups and plug the connector into the flasher. Hope to have an install vid up in the next few days.

No you cant stop lighting that spinner shot is my favorite shot in pinball now.
The bolt gets its power from that flasher behind it and it goes off when the spinner is hit....so the bolt goes off when the spinner is hit.
Very interactive with the shot.

Quick tips for you guys getting them this week.
You will have one bolt with an "S" on the back side - stands for spinner. I reworked a corner to make sure there is enough clearance - not a huge deal but its there if you'd want to place it next to spinner.

1. Remove balls.
2. Remove stock lighting bolts
3. lift playfield remove both left ramp stand up targets (four hex screws)
4. lower playfiled feed power wire for those two stand ups down the stand up hole in the PF. The right bolt you can feed through the hole in the playfield it has plenty of room.
5. raise the playfield and put the two stand ups back in place with the power wire behind the stand ups metal bracket.
6. while the playfield is raised find the flasher connection for each ramp position and plug in the new harness to it. My harness goes in like a sandwich between stock harness and flasher harness. Do the same for the rt side ramp bolt.
7. Your now done under the playfield lower it to its normal position.
8. Using the stock screws mount the new bolts using that one little screw.

Now its complete 15-20 min tops. If you would rather use the other holes at different locations near that area it can be done but much harder.

Black smoke - it has a shinny surface and will reflect light even more.
