So, what's the difference between the old mike-d creech mod and the new one?

Quoted from Manny65:The kit would run on Compy's control hardware/software but leverage MikeD's video assets (and also have some additional video content by the sounds of it)
Can the original mod be upgraded to the new mod? (Software)
Quoted from Compy:Unfortunately not at this time as the software is designed to run on our specific hardware. However if we find someone with a MikeD mod that wants to help us test, we'll happily ship off the new video assets to see how they run on the MikeD hardware. Provided there aren't any major kinks, we can make those available to anyone who wants to breathe new life into their current MikeD mod.
Coming from a mod maker of your caliber, that means the world to me. Also, your other package is on the way!
Dave... always a privilege!
You're in! I'll send you a message closer to your mod's production date (4-5 weeks).
I am picking up a creature tomorrow that has the original MikeD mod in it.
Quoted from Compy:Just checked, and you're looking at 3-4 weeks right now. Estimated Feb 20ish?
Sweet. I don't even know how much this thing costs.
Compy,
I received my kit today and it's really nice. Followed the instructions, double checked orientation and fired my TZ up.
While the pinvision works correctly, it is causing corruption of my ColorDMD.
If I disconnect the original ribbon that connects to J601 on the DMD controller from the jumper ribbon from the soundboard/pinvision card the ColorDMD works fine. Reconnecting the original J601 ribbon to the pinvision jumper ribbon resumes ColorDMD corruption. The corruption exhibits as vertical bars where the even numbered bars are fixed unchanging static/pixels and the odd number bars are corrupted/changing with the game.
*edit* further test, I believe that the jumper ribbon is defective.
Pinvision plugged in to sound card with jumper cable, Original ribbon plugged into jumper ribbon and DMD controller = corruption
Original ribbon connected to sound card with jumper ribbon and Pinvision board bypassed = corruption
Quoted from robotronjohn:I need to take the time to install my kit. I have had it a few months.
It looks a lot harder to install than it actually is.
Quoted from Compy:Yeah it's most definitely the T cable.
We'll send a replacement today.
New cable received and installed. Thanks for the quick support!
Quoted from Compy:We're definitely proud to be partnering with Pinball Inc to get these into wider availability. This allows us to (hopefully) focus on future games as well as what is currently in development. We've worked together for years and we stand behind their commitment to exceptional customer service.
Now, for those who have a confirmed pre-order spot with us, we'll continue to fulfill those orders in the order in which they were received. Of course, if units become available first at Pinball Inc, you're welcome to grab those up!
Thank you all! We're excited to keep making these to keep up with the crazy demand we've seen even just since the TWIPY awards.
Let's play some pinball!

Does this mean I’ll be buying a ToM magic mirror soon?
Quoted from Compy:Yessir! Assembling the new version without all the unobtanium parts as we speak!
Put me o that list
