We have noticed the same thing on ours. It is kicking out hard as hell, knocking on the glass most of the time as well. We just try our best not to put it in the sarlacc pit.

Okay, perhaps I should have explained better, the scoop welds are good, the ball launches at such a fast speed when it goes past the flippers and hits the metal behind the flipper it jumps up and hits the glass, do you think the coil is too strong?

From the left flipper, if you go from the right it is almost always SDTM.
