This is the route I took also. Like it better. I have only gotten a band member mode started once so far and it was stacked with crank it up so I couldn't even tell it was running until after the ball drained and I saw the total on the DMD. Pretty anti-climatic

That gc score isn't *that* high and your machine is getting the update - especially since it's here right now. Lol
I don't think the magnet is working differently than on 1.5. I dont think it has software control other than enable and disable. When enabled, the magnet mech has an internal switch. When switch activates, so does the magnet. Software doesn't get to impact how well this works. Only enable or disable.
