    Quoted from BMore-Pinball:

Seems like there is a flood of new machines being produced.
I thought I would start a list of the ones I know of.
If I missed any, let me know.

    - Pavlov - Kill Bill - http://pavlovpinball.com/
    New Pinball Tech.
    - Pinball Controllers: www.pinballcontrollers.com
    - Multimorphic http://www.multimorphic.com/

This sticky is so old, 6 years without an update!
    Let’s clean this up:

    • Stern: www.sternpinball.com
    • Jersey Jack: www.jerseyjackpinball.com
    • American Pinball: https://www.american-pinball.com/
    • Haggis: https://haggispinball.com/
    • Pinball Brothers: https://www.pinballbrothers.com/
    • Chicago Gaming Company: https://www.chicago-gaming.com/
    • Quetzal Pinball (Spain): www.quetzalpinball.com
    • Bitronic (Spain): https://bitronic.es/
    • Multimorphic http://www.multimorphic.com/
    • Dutch Pinball http://www.dutchpinball.com/
    • Riot Pinball http://riotpinball.com/
    • Spooky Pinball http://www.spookypinball.com/
    • Homepin http://www.homepin.com/abouttag.html
    • Team Pinball (UK)
    • Pedretti Gaming (Italy)

    New Pinball Tech
    • Pinball Controllers: www.pinballcontrollers.com
    • Multimorphic: http://www.multimorphic.com/
    • CobraPin Boards:

Some possibilities but no proof yet:
    • Turner (New company formed with deeproot assets)
    • STR pinball: https://angelsanddemons.strpinball.com/
    • Scandinavian Pinball https://scandinavianpinball.com/troll-the-pinball-machine/
    • Pinball Adventures

What’s crazy to me is that Quetzal is on here and ACTUALLY produces machines. It took them a really long time but they did it! Some of the names that are here, 6 years ago seemed like a pipe dream.
It’s cool to see who made it and who didn’t, and who survived extremely long development cycles.

Also interesting to note that RIOT pinball is listed, but they ended up contracting American Pinball a “newbie” company to produce their machine despite American not even being a thought 6 years ago. Congrats to them on LOV.

    Dead/Abandoned/No know production:
    • Pavlov Pinball
    • Silver Castle Pinball
    • Tilt Warning Customs (They seem to just do custom re-themes, not a manufacturer)
    • Marsaplay
    • Whizbang: http://whizbangpinball.blogspot.com/

    Huge scams:
    • Skit-B
    • J-pop (anything post-2010)
    • Vonnie D.
    • deeproot (which hadn’t even made it on the list 6 years ago)

    Defunct:
    • Heighway
    • Retro Pinball
    • Suncoast Pinball

    Nice list Isochronic_Frost

Pinball Manufacturers - would probably remove:
    - Whizbang - haven't done anything for years
    - Pinball Adventures is trying and probably at the same level as Homepin

    Pinball Tech - probably add:
    - CobraPin Boards - while still just used in homebrew they are made available and growing in popularity

Pinball Scamventures still hasn’t built a game. While I agree HomePin has handled their social media with the same level of class, I have to admit he has made one game and allegedly Spinal Tap is coming.
Unless Punny Factory actually a hips I wouldn’t count them.

I’ll remove Whizbang. I thought they basically just contracted things, but I didn’t check their last release.

    Ballarama ?
    Skit-B
    Vonnie D

    #57 1 year ago

Ballarama - he has bought some parts, spent more money on weird patents but nothing else to show yet advertises on Facebook that they are a manufacturer ...

    #58 1 year ago
    Quoted from RCA1:

    Ballarama ?
    Skit-B
    Vonnie D

    Added, Forgot Vonnie D.

Anyone can claim to be a manufacturer, but unless they have some basic proof, not everyone is getting added.

Also remembered Suncoast, added them to the Defunct list. Ironic they only produced 25 machines total and are still more successful and legit than several “manufacturers”

    Scandinavian Pinball https://scandinavianpinball.com/troll-the-pinball-machine/

Not seen any news about it though.

I think Bitronic (Spain) should be added, as they are manufacturing Super Hoop and plan to build Tokyo Perfect Drift as well. Both games designed by Quetzal Pinball.
    https://bitronic.es

Also missing is Team Pinball from the UK, who produced The Maffia and are still active as contract design/programming.

What about Pedretti Gaming (Italy)? Contract manufacturer for Pinball Brothers and producing 2.0 kits for System 11 games.

Updated again. I knew of Bitronic but wasn’t sure if they were a part of Quetzal or not. Thanks for letting me know!

And really cool about Pedretti, never even heard of them before. Did they just start out of the blue for Alien/TBL?

Whizbang belongs in a different category. They did Whoa Nellie and sold the design to Stern for manufacturing and rethemed to other games. They also did Elvira HOH more recently.

There is some nuance that can be added to the list. Whizbang, KaPow, Riot Pinball, Quetzal may be better described as "pinball design companies" as they make a product, a handful of prototypes, and then sell the idea to an established manufacturer. (tangent: you could include the old Steve Ritchie Design and Pat Lawlor Design companies as defunct pinball design companies)

There are a few people designing games for P3. They are somewhere in the design category.

Scott Danesi's TNA didn't start off as a project to sell to a manufacturer, but it ended up that way. And I assume R&M was design work sold to Spooky? That gets a bit more nebulous of a distinction.

Contract manufacturer may be worth including?

I'm so confused by the Quetzel / STR machines and what their actual lines of delineation are. A few years back, STR was always posting updates on instagram for Tokyo Perfect Drift and if you look at the backglass, it's got both the Quetzel and STR logos. I think STR designed and programmed the game but Quetzel helped manufacture it? I actually don't know, but also how many were ever made and who owns one? I followed the progress on it forever and then it just kinda disappeared despite looking like a pretty decent game. It wasn't even on Pinside until I asked robin to add it last year. Maybe STR is the design company in the same way Pat Lawlor has Pat Lawlor Design as a contract design company?

I wasn’t sure of the difference between Quetzal, Bitronic, and STR. There’s a few that seem like design companies like RIOT. Who knows.
I can’t update my posted anymore since it’s been past a day.

Maybe someday I can get keyposting abilities and then I believe that allows me to update key posts.

If you start your own thread you can update the 1st post even years later.

I do it in a thread about Stern's history of game pricing

Actually, it's the other way around. Quetzal designed the game, STR was contract manufacturer for Tokyo Perfect Drift until they had a falling out.
Bitronic is a spanish company that has been around for years and recently expanded their product line with pinball games designed by Quetzal.
