    Quoted from MustangPaul:

Giving this a bump to see if anyone was in need.

In "need"? LOL You know this community's addiction well. I need a red for IM and a green for WOZ, but have to wait for the beginning of next month as I have to budget my mod addiction to not get too much flack from my wife (who is just a pinball addict, not a mod addict). I over-spent on pinball in June-July, so I'm in a self imposed "time-out" right now to keep the peace. Just a heads up ... my order will be placed soon.

I'd like to see the yellow light up legs on a Hobbit. Still waiting for my Hobbit to arrive ... a few more months.

    #270 7 years ago
    Quoted from Arctour:

Okay, I'm game. I'm going to pm you and Bob and put the amber on my Hobbit.

Please post a pic when you get them on. Maybe I'll pre-purchase them (before my Hobbit arrives) while I order some others for my WOZ and IM.

This is what I use on some games that I have to turn on a separate power supply for mods. You connect up a 5 volt or 12 volt supply from the game to turn the relay on - it takes really low amps to flip the relay. The separate power supply turns on when the game turns on. I use that same 8 way splitter from Pinball life also. Works fantastic and would do the same here. Just a suggestion ...

    Quoted from gac:

Hi King - thanks for piping in. Did you use the "normally open" or "normally closed" version of the power switchtail? Would you mind sending a pic of your setup with the power switchtail and power supply? Thanks

Normally open - when you turn on the game, the relay gets energized and closes the connection to allow the 110v to pass through to the plug end of it. I can post pics and some descriptions later when I get home unless MustangPaul would rather me start another thread on it to not clog up his thread (as there would likely be more questions, comments, and criticisms on it). The LED leg light ups (that I want to buy in the future) is one of several reasons why I went this route on a few machines. I can also show what I'm doing for the Spike 2 AS for power splitting for current and future mods (something easier). Sounds like I should start a new thread on it and just put a link to it here. Then others can show what they did without getting this thread too far off topic for Paul.

    Quoted from gac:

This is what Mike used to power the video screen on the Creature hologram mod.

I'm pretty sure he used it for the AC/DC LCD mod also (which is where I got the idea to hunt for it).

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

Thanks King that would be great. Most of my customers have Beatmasters shooter housing light up and some have my new Volcano too. This would really help them.

Okay … here is a link to the new thread that I started on it. I have a video on it as there are 3 somewhat similar methods described and I didn't want to write a novel about it. So this is how you can feed power to mods without tapping into pinball circuits and boards (well … only enough to trip a relay at least).

    https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/adding-power-sources-and-splitters-to-pins#post-4470348

I'm sure there are other methods too that people can post about in that thread if you care to share.

Are you back in production yet? Need purple.

    Quoted from heni1977:

Could use a little info on this splitter board. I have a 12v power supply in the head, I would use it as a power supply to the splitter board. I would then need to make the connectors and wire all the lighted mods I am installing. My question is how would the wiring be connected into the .093 pin receptacles as far as ground and power? As to not smoke anything in my pin.

It's labeled on the splitter board.

AS premium with lots of bling. Also has pinstadium lights and Rock Custom Pinball under cab RGB flashers. The leg light ups and Beatmaster housing lights compliment the Hooked rail lights and the special purple hinge lights. The hinge lights are one hue of purple off, but isn't as noticeable in person. I will add speaker lights by Christmas.

Not to derail Pauls' thread, but for those looking for power source options for these leg light ups with other mods (previously discussed earlier in the thread), I added another option in my thread on the topic.
    https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/adding-power-sources-and-splitters-to-pins#post-4876846

I just ordered more leg light ups as the "Game On" power source makes it real easy - even for JJP pins. Carry on ...

Bump because a few people asked about these. I saw that you advertised these on Facebook recently too, so it is still relevant.

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

Thanks for the bump man. Yeah I put up a post on FB and got a few leads. Your line up really looks impressive all lit up. Thank you sir.[quoted image]

I still have to install a set on Hobbit, but I was going to install a lot of other mods that I am behind on at the same time.

Finally got to installing all of the light ups on my Hobbit. REALLY looks good with amber. At the end of the game, when Smaug breathes fire across all of the inserts for several seconds, the fire color on the inserts match the light ups. It looks super cool. That's when you would notice them the most too. Really happy with that look.

    Quoted from Royale-W-Cheese:

Looks amazing. Where did you get those blankets?

Lol. The hunt for good blankets is just as challenging as finding a mint HUO pin that you want for a good price within driving distance. Some on Ebay, Amazon, Geeky paraphernalia websites, etc. Some have taken 6 months to find, and a couple were upgraded when something better was found.

Anyway, another bump for Paul's leg light ups.

Nascar is just waiting to get bumped from that spot whenever the next JJP game is released.

Yes ... yes it is. There's one more spot in the room that I can move it to.

Hey guys I've added a new color, constant on rgb. No extra charge for this color. Man this is bright.
    Thanks,

Are they wired to be able to be modded for RGB light controls?

I'll have another couple of sets to order soon. Hopefully he's stocked up and ready.

    Quoted from Royale-W-Cheese:

Let’s go front and back. I took sone pictures. Need opinions on red or amber. I also have cables / jumpers to adapt to most mods . My open spots are in the back box. I can send a pic if needed . Still a rookie in all things electric .
    [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I would go Amber if it was me. It will go best with the colors in the side art.

Quoted from MustangPaul:My stock has been depleted and now I'm making them to order so whenever your ready to order I'm here.

Okay, I will make a list tomorrow night and PM you. Lots of reds (2 or 3 sets of 4 legs) and maybe more. Maybe a spare set for 1 or 2 on my wish list in case you are nearing a "last call". I will get back with you.

I got my mega order fulfilled! I already have them on 7 machines. These will go on a few more pins that I acquired since my last order, and 3 future pins.

I will post some pics of them installed when I get time to install them.

Thanks Paul! I have probably helped fund your next Mustang adventure. Or a part or two to fix it. I should be set for a while now.

Leg light ups! Photos from a party last night. I do have a set installed on GNR, but I still need to wire it up to accessory power.

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

hi guys, last week I had double hernia surgery and last week I was healing nicely when it all went south on me so now I'm in again with blood clots in my lunges. Gonna be a few more days in here till they figure the dosage for my blood thinner dosage. Looks like I'm REALLY backed up with orders now. LOL

Oh, that sucks! Heal up soon and take it easy for a while.
