Finally got to installing all of the light ups on my Hobbit. REALLY looks good with amber. At the end of the game, when Smaug breathes fire across all of the inserts for several seconds, the fire color on the inserts match the light ups. It looks super cool. That's when you would notice them the most too. Really happy with that look.

No all the colors are on all the time.

Personally, I add a second Meanwell power source to all of my pins and run all of my powered mods off of that so I am not pulling power from my existing pin power. I have had issues in the past when I "tapped in" (especially in older games), so now I just run clean power for everything and have never had another issue. I did this on my WOZ too.
I run the Meanwell off of the service plug and use a relay to power it up when the machine comes on.
Ok you can actually take the tap right off this plug by using the yellow (12V) and blk hanging at the coin drop and your good to go.
Funny thing is when they came on there was a set of red / and amber - Paul tricked me.

Nope. But I did ask tech at JJP and he knew exactly where 12V was located and it’s more then one area in the JJP pin.

They are Angel Eye light up buttons I got on Ebay but I can't remember what size. You also have to hog out the cabinet on the inside to make them work but they do look and work cool.
