Quoted from LyonsRonnie1:

There was a guy on the radio 20 years ago every night, that used to do interviews every night, and it was always somebody pretty crazy that he was voicing himself. So every night he'd interview himself as a character, but never told anybody (although you could figure it out if you listened to a couple shows). Anybody remember that guys name?

Phil Hendrie. He would start out as a reasonable guest and slowly through the hour reveal himself to be completely insane. Funny stuff.

Quoted from vdojaq:

I am starting to think my apology was for not.....why is some guy(Nicholas) from Denmark concerned with anything to do with American Pinball? Secondly , Kim M. was on A.P.'s facebook page asking for the $23K owed to him for MG & RAZA. This Nicholas guy tells Kim to stop trolling the page? Whawhawhat?!?!
This is all completely unreal..... He may not be Kaneda, but there is a connection between them
somewhere and he is just as much of a tool!

Would not surprise me if it was Kaneda using an associates identity. So basically Kaneda.

Quoted from dzoomer:

It's called "conflict of interest" to people who live in the real world. And it has consequences in the real world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict_of_interest
At least I know where your ethics now lie, as well as upvoters.

I think you are confusing "conflict of interest" with "professional courtesy".

No games. 9 months before Houdini is ready.

#1998 7 years ago

They emphasized games are Zidware games except Houdini and they are under no obligation to produce them.

American Pinball is not the bad guys.-Scott Goldberg

Quoted from jwilson:

So it's just a bunch of guys talking?
No game flipping?
Who cares.

Yep. No slideshow or anything. They asked John not to come, and then any question they don't want to answer is "Thats a question for John to answer".

Quoted from SimonBaird:

My Dads favourite saying "lie down with dogs and you wake up with fleas" if you decide to associate yourself with a particular person or group of people then you will be judged in that context, that is life. AP has chosen to throw their lot in with JPOP so that is how they will be judged.

Nope. They said John is "a good guy"

Quoted from 27dnast:

Queue the Pac Man dying sound.
9 months???? Have they not been paying attention to the f-ing empty promises of the industry over the last 4 years??? Their reveal a few weeks ago pretty much indicated immediate delivery... no?
#lame

They said playfield is 75% done. i'm sure code is pretty much nonexistant.

#2036 7 years ago

Regarding Magic Girl, same old same old. Its pretty much done, but we cant play it. But its beautiful. "People in the room have seen it and can vouch for it." Where have we heard that before.

#2047 7 years ago

Well they clearly lied when they said they didnt know who is doing the art on Houdini. There is no way that they don't know the artist who is doing their first game.

#2048 7 years ago
Quoted from mrgone:

They, American pinball said they are delivering a magic girl to coin taker at expo. where is it?

Delivery to cointaker has been delayed.

#2089 7 years ago
Quoted from flynnibus:

When dealing with any of these folks... first question should be is 'where is your whitewood where you worked out the geometry and engineering?' - if they don't have one, they're doing it wrong and are going to fail. This is yet another JPOP 'build something pretty... someone else will figure out the hard stuff'
The guy should be a concept artist and art director... not a game designer or project lead.

Balcer essentially said that JPOP is good at starting a project and coming up with a concept and then needs a team to come in to finish it for him.

They are going into a more appropriate product line with The Zidware brand.

It seems like the catapult would have to be in perfect working order to launch a ball into the milk can from such a long distance with accuracy. What happens after a little wear and tear on that catapult mech? How will it maintain its accuracy? I already saw issues with the Aerosmith catapult missing the toy chest on location after just a short time, and that shot has a lot more room for error.
