Quoted from singapore_pin:

American pinball is a new company that have absolutely no obligation towards the unfortunate guys that commitment on jpop games. Assuming they have hired? jpop make no difference than your local Burger King hiring a former thieve or ex-con. We should stop looking at the glass half empty and think about those that may receive their MG. Time will only tell if they will be heroes or liars....can't you wait another 3 months to judge them?

This is kinda my thought as well. I understand how many people got ripped off pre-buying into JPOP's 3 machines, but this new company has no responsibility to those buyers, only JPOP does. It's great that they are willing to try to make things right with the original Magic Girl buyers, and if they ship them all finished machines on American Pinball's dime, I think that's a show of good faith on their part and it's starting off on the right foot. But they still need to be a profitable company to not fail, which means producing and selling new games and building market share. Only time will tell if they can do that. One thing I'm excited about is their pricing, if they really can bring a new innovative game to market and price it below 7K, we may now have enough competition in the pinball market to keep the prices from inflating as rapidly as they have in the past year.

Quoted from dmesserly:

He may not be a shill but any pinball news service that reports on this is doing a disservice by not looking at the total picture of Jpop's fiasco. His comment is that they will be heroes if AP makes games for MG owners is poor journalism to say the least.

What kind of news service do you think it should be? Pinball News is a small operation, most of the show reports are just done by pinball fans for free, as I'm sure this article was. We should be happy they were able to get any info, I can't believe people would expect a professional level of reporting. And in case you haven't read any professional news website reporting lately, it's awful, even their paid writers make awful spelling and grammatical errors, don't do any article research, and mostly write fluff and opinion pieces. Give Pinball News a break, at least they got someone there to get more info, info everyone here has been clamoring for.

Quoted from Blackjacker:

Love the Bruce Campbell-as-Houdini backglass.

Aha! I was trying to figure out who it reminded me of, thanks. Now if only one day we get an Evil Dead pin.

Honestly, all the bullsh*t aside with JPop, I think that playfield looks awesome.

Quoted from HighProtein:

Just makes sense right?
If I had a pinball company, I would document and share footage of debuts...

I'm surprised the show isn't streaming it live on their website... or are they?

Quoted from rosh:

We are currently evaluating which shows we will be at and certainly looking at the ones that have been mentioned in this thread. MGC might be a touch too soon, but after we settle back in we will assess it.

We'd love to have you at the Northwest Pinball & Arcade Show in Seattle in mid-June, it's our 10th show this year, we have a stellar speaker line up, 400+ games, love to debut new machines and we draw about 3,500 people.
