Quoted from singapore_pin:American pinball is a new company that have absolutely no obligation towards the unfortunate guys that commitment on jpop games. Assuming they have hired? jpop make no difference than your local Burger King hiring a former thieve or ex-con. We should stop looking at the glass half empty and think about those that may receive their MG. Time will only tell if they will be heroes or liars....can't you wait another 3 months to judge them?
This is kinda my thought as well. I understand how many people got ripped off pre-buying into JPOP's 3 machines, but this new company has no responsibility to those buyers, only JPOP does. It's great that they are willing to try to make things right with the original Magic Girl buyers, and if they ship them all finished machines on American Pinball's dime, I think that's a show of good faith on their part and it's starting off on the right foot. But they still need to be a profitable company to not fail, which means producing and selling new games and building market share. Only time will tell if they can do that. One thing I'm excited about is their pricing, if they really can bring a new innovative game to market and price it below 7K, we may now have enough competition in the pinball market to keep the prices from inflating as rapidly as they have in the past year.
