If this game is actually made, would it actually sell any? 10, 20, 50, 100?
Quoted from toyotaboy:
"There is this wild loop-de-loop shot unlike anything I’ve ever seen in pinball before"
If they took my file off pinballmakers, I'm going to laugh
Funny, that's a ramp gimmick I had talked to John about, it's on Gold Wings as well.
So is there really nobody on this message board or connected to it that can go to the show this week
and interview whoever is there from American-Pinball?
Quoted from benheck:
That just means it has a Gigabyte x86 motherboard. And JJP uses Intel Atom, while MMR has a BeagleBone black.
It does explain how they got it into a booth at this show. Clever.
It's probably still using the same PROC clone that John had commissioned as before.
I know and because a "gigbyte" brand of mother board sounds so techie to non-techs...
I'm wondering if the "flux capacitor" core in it will be fully working prior to Expo!
Quoted from lllvjr:
New cabinet design. LED head trim also
Dude, F T W!
It's an AMERICAN company with a FOREIGN 1 coin slot door?
Of all the things I could complain about, yeah yeah yeah,
but come the absolute fuck on!
Look at any god damn coin door for the past 25 years!
FUCK! God damn common sense, 2 fucking coin mechs! TWO!!!
Quoted from rubberducks:
As far as I'm concerned, what has emerged is very positive.
JPop is just a consultant on Houdini.
Zidware is totally separate.
They are simply the contractor for MG.
Balcer has been taken on and absolutely will fix the game.
May not be great news re: original JPop backers, but it's great news regarding AP being a serious entity and Houdini.
But yeah, I strongly suspect that they only recently realised they needed to get Joe in.
How is Zidware totally different if American is making/developing Zidware games?
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:
It's easy to see, plain as the nose on your face ... any recovery plan that associates with JPOP is doomed to fail. JPOP is a complete disaster. Toxic garbage. AP has decided to flush JPOP, and improvise a little.
God, I cant wait for round 3...
Just wonder what that group or company will be called...
I'm pretty sure Pinside will help critique this pinball machine's art work towards greatness!
Quoted from konjurer:
Houdini hid the elephant more than once and we know how he did it. There is a wonderful book by Jim Steinmeyer called "Hiding the Elephant" which goes over all of the great advances in magic from the Black Art principle to Pepper's Ghost (which is used in Ghostbusters) to Houdini's elephant vanish. Houdini desperately wanted to be respected among his peers as one of the greatest magicians but his fan base just wanted to see the escapes. Houdini was crushed that the elephant illusion was not as well received by the public as he'd hoped.
Congrats on the game AP! I'm a huge fan of the history of magic so this is my theme. If you want a little constructive feedback, the previous artwork on the backglass was freaking amazing. The new backglass art is ok but I am a bit disappointed. I think Harry needs to be on the backglass. Best of luck.
A disappearing Harry on the backglass like the Dr Dude transformation effect?
Quoted from rosh:
We are currently evaluating which shows we will be at and certainly looking at the ones that have been mentioned in this thread. MGC might be a touch too soon, but after we settle back in we will assess it.
You've got to make it to IAAPA in Florida in November and Freeplay Florida convention is the weekend before so it makes a nice long week for a company showing off a game.
Stern and JJP do them yearly.
