Just out of curiosity, JPOP does not own American Pinball, correct? He is just employed by them if this is my understanding. They are in no way responsible for his past behavior, but they seem to be taking the high road and trying to make things right. Again, no way do they have to do this, but they are. From what I have seen of the release, they are not retheming magic girl, it is a whole new IP, so there is no stealing from former titles. 99% of this thread is bashing a company because they employed someone who has produced some the top rated titles of all time, and who has a genuine love of all things pinball. Yes, it sucks for the who took a gamble, but thats what it was, a gamble. I have lost more than I would like to even think of on gambles, one of which is pinball itself. To those saying boycott a company that hasnt even had a chance to show what they can do and make things right is wrong, deceitful and immature. I for one applaud them for trying to do the right thing, and if this thing flips and plays great, I have no problem giving them my business.

Man, this looks really really good! Cant believe this was held under wraps. We seem to know everything everyone else does months to years before, but they kept the lid nice and tight. If it flips well and has good rules, i have to say i am in.

I'm hoping they will make a lot more magic girls as I love the artwork and idea behind the game. If they bought the ip from jpop I assume they can make more and sell them a lot cheaper than originally intended. Seems kind of absurd that only 24 machines would be made and never really seen by the public.

Quoted from 27dnast:

You do that and you're completely devaluing the very product that all those people shoveled over heaps of money for.

That ship has sailed though. If ap is paying for everything they have to be able to recover costs. I don't know if any small company that likes giving away tons of money because it feels good.
