Have they done OLED in a playfield yet?

At this point, I don't believe Jersey Jack Pinball will ever release another title. As far as I'm concerned, they WERE a pinball company.
Quoted from 27dnast:how much would you like to wager on that?
$100 says no new title hits a customer's hands by year's end.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:Yes, JJP games are now $7500 - $9500 while Stern's that have half the features and half the code are $6k - $9k+...
You spelled $12,500.00 wrong.
I have not played much DI in the past, so I'm not 100% sure about smart-phone integration. Is there an app that allows you to interface with DI?
I'm kinda thinking their innovation will be some kind of mobile app that allows you to track info on your game(s), view scores, catalog errors, change settings, review audits, etc. If you can bring the game online, then you should be able to build an app to do these things.
The only way this all gets a "well-played" credit from me is if they announce Toy Story. After all the GNR drips for the past 4 months, that's really the only way we'll all go "holy shit!" (we at least ME anyway)
Other than that, it's pretty much, "Oh hey! You released a pin. And everyone knew it was coming. And it took you an eternity to do it."
Quoted from Hogbog:Looking forward to playing the next one with you guys! Man, I can't wait to hang out at a pinball show and drink beer with friends again.
Remember, you've got free beers from me at the next MGC
Quoted from meSz:Received email from Joe at PinballStar that announcement is in October.
So no announcement today??
Quoted from PanzerFreak:So that makes Stern games better? Do you think Ferrari cares that Ford sells more cars then them? No. Customers that buy JJP games could care less how many titles per year Stern rushes out.
I understand your point, but come on, Ferrari? Hardly.
Your analogy would make more sense if you were to say GMC versus GMC with a Denali trim package. And even THAT'S a stretch.
Quoted from insight75:Ford vs Ferrari. Great movie.
JJP = Tesla. Stern = Harley Davidson. That's not a dig. I own all 4 of these brands and love them.
Wait, what? Pics please.
Quoted from insight75:Well I got 3 of the 4 in this pic. Lol.
[quoted image]
Yeah, well we all kind of expected those. Where's the 4th?
Quoted from insight75:OK....let me go move my Sterns down to the basement real quick. haha....
Whoops. Here I was, looking for the pic of the Ferrari.
LOL
Quoted from LTG:I'm not there. My invite must have got lost.
LTG : (
Your invitation to the new game launch will be scheduled for 2 weeks after you've completed your first 6 tech support calls on the title.
Quoted from LTG:Spotted another one. Tech support guy Steve Zamonski, right behind Eric to the left.
LTG : )
Next time I see you, remind me to tell you an interesting story about me and Steve.
Quoted from romulusx:Sometimes I wish they would be more vocal and just clear the air
Speaking out publicly on a web forum usually doesn't work well for companies.
Besides, JJP likes to shoot PM's directly to Pinsiders instead.
Quoted from thechakapakuni:I see Age(s), Pyro, etc - Def Leppard?
The only thing i see that resembles GNR is the pulse insert that would be Coma.
But could it be Def Leppard (Rock of Ages, Pyromania, etc)
A Def Leppard pin would seriously get my attention.
Quoted from woody76:exactly. best release ever
Well, to be fair, they've only had 5 others.
Let's just call it a "proper" game launch, and leave it there. Good job, JJP.
Quoted from IronMan8Bit:A showroom for a game they don't even make anymore? haha Seems like teasing at that point.
Doesn't mean the game isn't showroom worthy.
I mean, we have a 2012 100th Anniversary ZR1 Corvette on our showfloor. It's not made any more, but that doesn't mean it's not showroom worthy
/end cargument
Quoted from pinball_keefer:In the form of a pinside donation is fine.
Haha. Considering it will cost me north of $1,000.00 to get the blistering, chipping playfield swapped on my Wonka, I'd say there's still about $900 to go before I owe anyone anything.
But hey, thanks for "making me whole" with the blank playfield.
Good job JJP for making and delivering pinball machines. Sorry to hear about your "small issue" with the CE allocations. Oops.
Added over 4 years ago:Hm...apparently I'm being a bit harsh. Fine. I'll sit back and be quiet, then.
Quoted from paynemic:Dude. Bitter. Come on.
You GD right I'm bitter. Anyone who thinks I'll let this issue go better think again. From being told by a JJP employee to "switch to decaf" after emailing my concerns, to the personal phone call I got from Jack himself offering an autographed piece of artwork or a gobstopper shooter rod (!!!) as a peace offering for my defective playfield, I'm none too pleased with how I was treated. I have a defective playfield. I asked to have the playfield replaced under warranty. They refused to replace it. Sending me a blank field in a box is not an acceptable solution.
Quoted from paynemic:Keefer is a good dude who does a lot for pinball. You went out on a limb with a prediction and were wrong. Just smile and move on. Don’t change topics and look small.
Yes he does. He's a great asset to the business. My post was not about making a prediction. Anyone who doesn't know that I was trolling with that post to see if I could get a JJP person to bite and commit to a date needs to take more lessons in nuance. I knew when I posted it that I would get the reaction that it did. Hence my response of "My plan worked perfectly" immediately after I teased out a response. Not to mention the fact I also received two PM's that same week, from JJP folks.
Yes, I was wrong. JJP released a pin and it made it into a customer's hands by the end of the year. I'll close this post with a piece of another one of my posts, from earlier in this thread:
Quoted from smalltownguy2:Other than that, it's pretty much, "Oh hey! You released a pin. And everyone knew it was coming. And it took you an eternity to do it."
Quoted from frobozz:Man, that's the most convoluted path to weaseling out of paying a bet I've ever seen...
It was never a bet. I never intended on paying it. A lie. A ruse. Fake. Can I spoon-feed it any more for ya?
Quoted from zaphX:Part of me doesn't, because you're manipulative.
Guilty as charged.
Quoted from flynnibus:So you spew garbage and want people to line up as supporters?
[quoted image]
I'm not asking anyone to line up as a supporter.
Random question - has there ever been a pin where the ball travels up inside the head? Like not just straight back and out, but something where the ball is locked and travels vertically to the top of the head?
Just wondering.
