Quoted from epthegeek:

Probably connectivity stuff Since it talks about innovation.

Possibly, but what about this?

- "You asked for innovation. We answered". What other company has brought more innovation to pinball in the last decade?

- then, they scroll through their catalogue of games in order of their release with a question mark following their last offering, Willy Wonka.

- finally, JJP are starting their own podcast on Monday, what better place to announce a new title with no shows in the immediate future?

I'm likely reading too much into this, but I've been waiting a long time for a substantial JJP announcement.

Quoted from Nepi23:

I am currently throwing away my VHS-tapes, so I am also ready for any technological change that JJP is offering!

Pfft, I have to get rid of my Betamax tapes before I can move up to VHS

Quoted from snowy_owl:

Direct from JJP, referring to their teaser: "If you think wifi is innovation...hold on to your hats!" So...maybe it's not wifi connectivity?

If this is the case and they want to rake the wind out of TMNT sales, they need to follow up the teaser with more info in weeks rather than months

Quoted from bgwilly31:

That wasnt erics choice though. Erics choice would have been to spend the Time/money to make it work.
They had the same reason behind the chest not opening and closing apparently couldnt solve that issue either......
The issue was obviously not that they couldnt solve it. But the game had been delayed too long for whatever reasons and investors wanted it ready now!
Again not eric's choice or fault.

Engineers do the difficult right away, the impossible just takes a bit longer and costs more.

No doubt they could have fixed the issues, but after the game was delayed 3 or 4 months at some point it's time to fish or cut bait. The company doesn't make any sales while the game is in the shop troubleshooting. Certainly those mechs are still in JJPs arsenal and can be introduced into another game, maybe even this one. If Stern can take a spinning disc from an 8-year old game and put it in their latest offering, what's to stop JJP?

Quoted from freeplay3:

This could be awesome if its incorporated into a Leisure Suit Larry game.
If you dont know him, google it.

You're dating yourself with that reference, but I guess so am I by recognizing it.

Quoted from Tranquilize:

Without real evidence, you really shouldn't continue to spread a rumour that attacks Pat Lawlor's credibility. He's one of the gods of pinball design and would have no reason to be jealous of anyone. He created TZ and TAF ffs.

. . . and Whirlwind, and Banzai Run, and Earthshaker, and, and, and. The man has nothing to be jealous about.

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

If its BTTF Im going to crap in my pants like right now and if its true this whole thing was a diversion.. wow, just wow.

Just remember, Eric said "If you think wifi is innovation...hold on to your hats!".

Now, if he said "If you think wifi is innovation...you're going to see some serious shit!" . . .

Quoted from f3honda4me:

Strawman. You're comparing the company as a whole. I was just talking about the marketing and lack of release of information. :p JJP is clearly a better company than deeproot overall. I'm just talking about this whole teaser thing.

I think Strawman’s comment is still valid. In the years that Deeproot have been building up to something, they showed one game at a show last year, said most everything in the game was not what would be released, and hasn’t said much since.

. . . and Kaneda just put his R&M up for sale . . .

Wow! Didn't see that coming

Quoted from branlon8:

Toys definitely equal fun. Without them all you have is loops, ramps, scoops and standups (and the occasional drop target) and these get boring fast. Toys give a game character and are an important factor in determining if it‘s just a fun game or a great game.

Quoted from Dan1733:

Without the toys, all pinballs are two ramps, an orbit and a scoop.

Two words - "Iron Maiden".

I think I've said all I need to say about that.

Quoted from Skyemont:

Selling off parts because those pins will never be rerun again.

I’m pissed I missed the Wonka playfields, it would have made a great wall hanger!

Quoted from Nokoro:

Because you’ll cannibalize your own sales.

Would they? Most everyone knows (unofficially) the next two JJP releases, if you’re only interested in GNR or TS, you’ll likely hold your money until your favourite title comes available. If you want both, you’ll buy both. Price doesn’t seem to stop Stern fanboys from buying every new release that comes out.

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

Really?
R&M probably going to end up having the best theme integration of any pinball ever made.

Better than Hobbit?

Quoted from zaphX:

The atrocious grammar and spelling people use on this site triggers me daily and it's all I can do not to correct it.

That's what you get for texting with your thumbs. I prefer the hunt and peck technique myself.

Quoted from LTG:

Simon Wilder : Which door do I leave from?
Proffesor Pitkannan : At Harvard we don't end our sentences with prepositions.
Simon Wilder : Okay. Which door do I leave from, asshole?
LTG : )

Sorry Lloyd, but you spelled "Professor" wrong.

Quoted from smalltownguy2:

The only way this all gets a "well-played" credit from me is if they announce Toy Story. After all the GNR drips for the past 4 months, that's really the only way we'll all go "holy shit!" (we at least ME anyway)

November 22, 1995 was the official release of Toy Story. October will be one month shy of the 25th anniversary.

Just sayin'.

Quoted from Jokerman:

Here’s two reasons for starters.
[quoted image][quoted image]

There's a little bit of car porn. The second photo is likely as close as I'll ever get to sitting in one.

Plus it has a trunk (with the top up), 4 seats (technically), and is the cheapest Ferrari on the market.

#2690 3 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

Fast cars, slow cars, car bros, sunday drivers, M3s, grocery getter....really the only universal truth is to keep slow cars out of the left lane. I don't know why it's so hard to grasp.

What I find even harder to grasp is when you pass these guys on the right, they don't get the hint and move over.

Quoted from Skyemont:

It’s a great game. All of the JJP games are great. I wish I had room for all of them.

I wish I had the bank account for all of them.

#2715 3 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

And this year has really mucked things up.
