Seriously, why is everyone jumping to conclusions that Bose is the only innovative thing coming? Who’s the designer? Oh yeah, Eric. You think his only creative abilities are to upgrade the speakers? Seriously people.

As usual everyone took a hint and went out in left field with it
The suspense is killing me.
I have literally lost 8 days of my life since this announcement was made.
Quoted from metallik:I'm saying the shit I replace that shit with sounds good
Interesting. I would've guessed it sounds like shit.
Quoted from noob-a-tron:But will it come with a topper?
YES! And with topper innovation... a $600 std topper, $800 LE topper (numbered), $2000 CE topper (with signatures)
Quoted from Coindork:I have literally lost 8 days of my life since this announcement was made.
And I thought I had an addiction problem. My wife never believes me when I tell her there are tons of guys on Pinside far worse than me.

Given that the seller couldn't be bothered to change every picture from Sony to Yamaha, I'd pass. Is he selling a Sony setup or a Yamaha setup? All his others are Sony.
20% negative feedback for that seller in the last 30 days is the final nail in the coffin.

Thanks a bunch...I’m going to stick with Best Buy or a local shop the trust just isn’t there. Also seeing “only 2 left hurry” seems to be code for run away .

Mid level and up Yamaha receivers are fine. Denon receivers are okay, depending on the model. Sony is meh. Run from Onkyo and Pioneer. They're the same now and total crap, even in the mid-tier units that used to be pretty well constructed.
I used to be hardcore Onkyo until we had two different models of receivers (one was like $1500, the other was like $800) in two different rooms fail a few years apart because of poor components. Support was a nightmare to get them first to admit the problems, then to pay for the shipping to get them fixed (I wasn't paying for THEIR clear defects). They eventually made them both "secret recalls," but the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth and I was done with getting a new Onkyo every 3 years or so.
Rather than get a middling complete system, I'd put most of your money into a nice mid-tier receiver and just a couple speakers (in ceiling or stand up) and then expand the speakers as you can until you have a full, great system. You might also want to troll the bulk auction sites. Receivers pop up there pretty frequently that are open box with warranties left that sometimes sell for 20% of retail price. You might have to buy a lot of items on a pallet or something and sell the excess, but depending on your luck and how much work you want to do, you can end up with a much nicer system than you thought you could afford.

There are a bunch. Here is one example that happens to have Denon receivers up at the moment. They're too low-end, but it will give you the idea for when they have better ones up:
https://online.auctionnation.com/items/keyword_denon/hsearch_y
There's also liquidation.com, direct liquidation, prime auctions, etc, etc. The liquidation and surplus auctions are where you can get the best deals, but sometimes you have to work a little for it. If you have more time than money, that's not a problem.
I'm sure you have some smaller places that do this in your area or not far from you that you don't even know about.

More time than $ for sure lmao. You helped me with what I needed “direction”.Thanks n best to you !

Also, don't let distance discourage you. If the site allows remote payment, you can arrange to have it picked up by a freight company, or if it's just one item, you can pay a task rabbit person $30 or so (depending on location, the costs change, urban areas are way more expensive) to pick it up and take it to a Fedex shipping depot to have it sent to you. If the deal's really good, none of these expenses will change the value much and they open up a lot more possibilities. As long as you're dealing with a reputable liquidator of the types I mentioned, there's nothing to worry about.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Good day for JJP to pull the counter-punch?
Yeah you would think Friday would be a good day for an announcement

I've had very good luck with my higher end Denon receivers ($1500-$1800 MSRP range). I am currently running a 9.2 system with Def Tech 12" Atmos towers/center/rears/surrounds and 2 HSU VTF-15H MK2 subs.
Quoted from PinMonk:So has Kanadah gushed about it changing pinball, ordered his and then cancelled it yet? That's his MO, isn't it?
Only if it is a ‘world under glass’.
Quoted from Vyzer2:WiFi that connects pinball speakers to wireless speakers in your home.
Bingo!

Yeah, we're currently with all Denons except for one room with a Yamaha in the house and have been very satisfied.
Just checking in to see if there was any new news and I had to double check to make sure I didn't accidentally open a thread about speaker suggestions.
Jack: Hmmm.... New Stern game is out. Someone make an announcement about something we're doing to distract from Stern.
JJP Twitter Guy: O.K. Boss, I just announced that we're changing everything.
Jack: You did what? Oh crap. Quick, somebody think of something we can do!

You can only say so much about a video that promotes something and nothing at the same time. Come back in a few days and if no new info comes out we may be debating our favorite Brady Bunch episodes or what's the best temp to eat a steak.

Brady Bunch pinball machine when?
I’m a buyer! Actually, I was an extra in their Kings Island Amusement Park episode. We stayed in the same hotel and played in the arcade with a couple of them.“ Marsha“ was not very friendly
Well, this teaser is way more interesting than some cartoon turtles for preschoolers that's for sure.

I like the one where they go to Hawaii, find an idol, and get scared by a tarantula.
Medium rare.
Quoted from o-din:I like the one where Jesse James kills the entire family on a train during Bobby's dream.
The bash toy could be Marsha’s head, like when she was hit with the football! “Oh, my nose!”
Quoted from LukyDuck:The bash toy could be Marsha’s head, like when she was hit with the football! “Oh, my nose!”
It could have Peter's volcano as a topper.
Still to this day I'm not sure if there wasn't some hidden meaning in that scene.
Well, this will be very interesting if true. Kaneda reports the new JJP GnR pin will have 22 songs in the game.
22 songs?
Then certainly there is room for One in a Million. It would be tough to find 22 songs in their entire catalog that would keep it family friendly and politically correct by today's pinball standards.
It will be good if there are at least two pinball companies not afraid of foul language or making games to appeal to or not offend children now.

HELL YEAH! That would be amazing. 22 Keith Johnson modes here we come None of this 6 song BS for $6k - $9k.

Need Rocket Queen!!!

cool story... Marsha, Marsha, Marsha...
fav eps when Greg becomes a recording star but only because he fit into the groovy jacket. Classic. Lol.
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:Don’t forget about Alice. The housekeeper who lived with the Brady’s and even went to Hawaii.
Yea like Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley where everyone went on holidays or moved to Cali together. In the 70's everyone you knew went on a vacation with you.
Quoted from Edster:Need Rocket Queen!!!
The entire song My Michelle this time around too.
Seriously, if I see a new pinball machine that plays songs that reference prostitution, heroin addiction, physical abuse, murder, racism, and all that other good stuff, then let's just say I will be impressed!
Quoted from Nokoro:I like the one where they go to Hawaii, find an idol, and get scared by a tarantula.
Medium rare.
