Wow, I admire you for tearing down JD when it's your first game. Others will give you better advice than me but my JD had random resets and it was only because the boards weren't screwed in tightly. I couldn't believe that was the cause but it was. I checked it early after doing the pin wiki reset repair. Good luck.
