Impressive work so far.

Would be nice to have a pin header of contacts closures on the PI board. Combined with some programming options, specific contacts could trigger specific video clips...

Simply connect those contact closures to specific insert light sockets (like the typical mods do), and wow, what a cool interactive mod that would enhances game play even more!

For some titles, like Indiana Jones (Treasures) and Scared Stiff (Skull Pile), you could even take advantage of the built-in wiring harnesses that were unused on production games due to cost-saving measures at production time.

PS. Once interactive version released, don't forget some Mars Attacks! clips for an AFM version, and Harry and the Hendersons for a WH20 version! I'll purchase them all!

Quoted from CraZyMuffin:

Thanks Brian,
That is definitely the next step once I finalize my current production processes.
I want to tie into the lamp matrix to trigger the software on the pi, however I am stuck on what circuitry is required to do this. I am currently looking for someone I can pay to design the circuit. I am confidant on the software side though.

Might want to check with Randy over at ColorDMD. He's quite knowledgeable on the layout of the lamp matrix.

As he's explainted it to me, his current product supports decoding of multiple rows on a single column (which supports TAF's THING lamp lights), however, not the Treaure lights on IJ (because they are on multiple columns).
