Quoted from callmesteam:I am a sucker for buttons on the lockdown bar. Why are they always centered though? For one-armed players? Couldn't they put it near one side or the other, or next to the flipper button as pinfarmer suggested? Not trying to be critical, just rambling. On a critical note though, 'outie' start buttons suuuuuuck. The worst is when someone is trying to photograph scores on league night and they bump it and clear out the scores..... doh...!
Can't wait to play it though. KILLER theme and the JJP team is second to none. Great pedigree there!
Man I hate the buttons on the lockdown, it sticks out like a sore thumb.
Quoted from Aurich:Here's another one for the file, I'd love to see a "Ruby Red" version of Hobbit that has Smaug instead. Bring the red armor, and new decals that focus on Bilbo and the Dragon. Something along these lines:
Fan concept art, lawyers need not pick up telephone.
Wow this is a nice cab...lol, I really don't get it, Pinside provides invaluable info to these manufacturers, it's like a free idea incubator. They should be happy there is such a vocal group to help steer their companies in the right direction. Companies pay good money to consulting firms for this kind of data. Besides when did criticism of games become taboo in a public pinball forum?
Yeah...no kidding, he would do a much better job than the person who is there now...how many mistakes did we catch on just the pf here?
Quoted from Pimp77:You know the guy who did the Hobbit playfield is the same guy who is art director for TBL...just saying.
I thought it was the other graphic designer on staff, was the game accredited to him? Either way Aurich's mock up looks better to me.

This interview states that TBL artist JP De-Win will work on the LCD animation of the TH, did not mention who designed the pf though, I just watched some of those animations, probably the best part of the game, it looked flawless.
Quote:
The third interview is with Wizard of Oz animator Jean-Paul de Win, who will also do the animations for The Hobbit.
