Every Tuesday in August and September from 5:30pm to 7:30pm Lyman's Tavern will be hosting a Happy Hour League. Lyman's is located at 3720 14th street NW in Washington DC. http://lymanstavern.com/

To go with the "Happy" theme their will be no league dues, but we will still award prizes!!!

Format is as follows. You can show up anytime between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm, you get to choose 3 games to play, record your score for those games and your done for the week. Only playing restriction is you must play with at least one other person- no single player games. No extra ball restrictions- you can play any extra ball awarded. Points will be awarded as follows- 3 points for first place on a machine for the night, 2 points for 2nd place, and 1 point for third. Also one point per week for participation. Season will be 8 weeks long with one week of finals. Finals week will be Sept 30th which is the end of the fiscal year so the finals will be called "end of the fiscal year finals".

You can qualify for the finals 2 ways. Firstly by being in the top 4 for points accumilated during the season. Second way to qualify is by having the top score on a machine for the season. You can only qualify once for the finals, you must play at least 2 weeks to be eligible for finals. Finals will be 3 or 4 player groups, 3 games Papa style scoring.

Nice to see this. Will results be posted somewhere?

    #3 9 years ago

Every week, i'll use this post for updates.

    #4 9 years ago

I'll also post rules updates and/or clarifications here. People have asked about the ability to pre-play. Out of the 8 weeks participants will be allowed to do one week of pre-plays starting with week three. Pre plays will be done during the preceeding weeks league night ( for example if your pre-playing week 4 you play your 3 game set of pre-plays week 3 of league ). Pre-plays will be posted on this site prior to league night.

Finals- The top 2 points accumulators will be in the final 4 group. The third and fourth points people for the season will be placed with all the top game scorers for the season and however many that is will eliminate down to 2 to make a 4 person final.
