Quoted from Starscream:

What about changing the rules for certain pins? How could you do that
As I mentioned earlier maybe a timed ball save on TAF?
That has to be my most disliked feature of that game,

For that you'd need to edit the ROM file before burning.

It's a lot more difficult (usually..) than simply burning.

Quoted from Atomicboy:

So I looked into this more, this ebay seller sells a few ones that have slightly different names with different costs:
MCUmall Canada Genuine GQ True USB GQ-4X EPROM FLASH PICECU AVR Chip Programmer
MCUmall Canada GQ brand True USB GQ-4X EPROM BIOS chip Burner Programmer 87C510
TrueUSB GQ-4X EPROM BIOS chip Burner Programmer 87C510
They all look the same, and appear to not have any extra hardware. Anyone know which to get or if there is a difference?

They're all the same.
The model # is GQ-4X.

I have one too, have had it for the last 5 years or more.

Quoted from Atomicboy:

How the heck do I confirm what size eproms I need, other than pulling the prior ones and removing the label and checking for that game? I'm trying to update Maverick as my first udpate, found the cpu 404, displays 402, and the sound roms, but can't seem to find anything on the size of rom needed for each...

Size of the file - EPROMs arre sold in bits, so a 8k ROM would take a 1M file. A 512k file would go for a 4k ROM.

Quoted from johninc:

I think you mean an 8Mb ROM for a 1MB file, and a 4Mb ROM for a 512 KB file.

You're right. Got my decimals messed up.
