Late last night, a buddy sent me a new listing on Facebook for a Black Knight that needed some love. I had to sell the 'Taxi' awhile back, so I have been pinball-less for awhile. This machine is not working, and it certainly needs some love - but for the price, it simply couldn't be beat! So I am happy to add this to my collection (of video games).
The machine does not work. I haven't had time to really dig into it - but the lights come on (I plugged it in for about 20 seconds to see what it did). The lights on the playfield went solid (some of them) but nothing else happened. Tried pushing the service buttons but that didn't trigger anything either.
It will need new plastics, and a very good cleaning. It was stored with the top glass off - so the amount of dust inside is amazing. I intend to use simple green to clean it - then a nice carnuba wax over the top (Open to suggestions).
It came with new balls and a new rubber kit, so I will have to dive into that once I get it cleaned! Even has the original manual! I haven't been able to open the envelope of documents to see what all is in there!
