Not just Apollo, but a 1967 Williams Apollo.
Congrats, a nice playing game. So lets see what all of it looks like.

Good question - I thought it was a system 1 backbox design, but while close the art doesn't match count-down. The art reminded my of Zaccaria but no luck guessing which one.
Nice game!
Since you're showing it off, would you mind taking a couple pictures of the bell on the match unit in the back of the head? My buddy has an Apollo that's clearly missing a few pieces, but we can't quite figure it all out. I really want to see the arm that strikes the bell and how it's attached.
Thanks!

Most likely missing this piece.
Williams Bell Clapper

Here are pictures of my 1971 Williams Klondike which would have the same Bell/Clapper Setup on the Stepper.

Free play only apparently.
Wonder if it has all the Coin Door guts on the inside to convert back to accepting coins?

I ordered a Williams Bell Clapper with my last order from PBR. The piece looks exactly like yours. I just couldn't figure out how to attach it.
We'll figure it out soon. Thank you so much for the pictures!

Some operators made damn sure no one would route games they released to the public. I have a Williams "Jig Saw" that has the coin return welded shut!
Thanks for the comments guys. Ken was right that's my HUO Mars Trek. I will try and get a pic of the bell, but I am away from the machine for a while. It does look almost exactly like the one in the Klondike pictured to my recollection.
The coin door is "empty". All the parts are gone and it is pure free play. Not an issue for me as I am more interested in the clean cab and playfield. I am really looking forward to cleaning this one up.

HUO? Day-um!

Mot,
Here you go. Let me know if you need anything more.
Quoted from Gov:I love the look of this game.

I like the look of the pin behind it. What's that one?

Dothedoo - Ken guessed it earlier. I have the Apollo between my HUO Sonic Mars Trek and Williams Strato Flite.
Yeah Mars Trek, that's the one. That cabinet artwork is crazy good. I've never played one and was looking forward to playing it at TPF -- it was on the game list, but never showed.

Quoted from CactusJack:Well, someone has a passion for Space Themed games. I actually like Bally On Beam. For me, its probably one of the most fun Bally single players of that era (of which there are not very many). I have to assume you have a Space Mission?
No I am on the lookout for both of those titles though! I am a big 60's and 70's Bally fan but they don't seem to come up frequently.
You should get one of these for your coin door:
