Dennis: I see u were just in Ben heck's lab with paupaduik, are u teaming up as well? Or u sticking with jack? Rumor is one licensed pin, one unlicensed. I think another Elvira title would sell great (nobody better to design a sequel)
I don't own a scared stiff, but perhaps a new Elvira would help drive down the price.

    Quoted from davewtf:

I would like you to complete the black water/whitewater trilogy

here here! A whitewater sequel could be crazy good. However the elvira license might actually be easier to obtain than an original williams theme?

I would happily trade my EATPM+cash for a scared stiff to anyone in the chicagoland area. I like EATPM, I like scared stiff more.

    Quoted from SPeD66:

    Ernest speaks for me 100%

I miss that dude. Now I wanna go rent cheezy ernest movies.

also in case anyone missed it, elvira made an appearance on epic ink

    Quoted from CaptainNeo:

anyone else see the TMNT pinball machine in the background at the shop?

Yes, they were actually playing it last episode. Those tattoo artists are totally into 80's cartoons / robot stuff. He also has a couple arcade games. I'm curious who maintains the machine, the shop is in Eugene, OR which is pretty far from anywhere.

The Elvira photo tattoo that one of the customers got just before elvira showed up was really good too

    Quoted from NimblePin:

Spooky might just be our last hope.

Charlie has confirmed a couple podcasts ago that he won't touch this title, it's all on Dennis. I really respect that.

As much as I'd like to see another elivra pin, I really wonder what else you could do with it? I mean it's not like she has any recent Elvira movies to pull quotes from. I don't know what else you could do as far as playfield toys that hasn't been done in the current 2.

    Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:

Maybe Elvira needs a long, lean reboot? Elvira can license herself to some young hottie. Blasphemy, or best idea ever?

Yes this. I still think cassandra peters looks good for her age, but it IS a character after all. Svengoolie at pinball life wasn't the original svengooglie, and I guarantee the band KISS will continue on with new band members because it's a cash cow (and the band was formed as such).

    Quoted from arcademojo:

So, is Spooky doing Elvira 3?

Chuck will never do an Elivra pin unless he's contracted to do so by Dennis.

I love all these comments about how cassandra is a washed up old woman, you people are all creepy. Elivra is a character, it doesn't even have to be played by her. You think KISS is going to go away when the band members retire? Heck no, Gene simmons is going to license it out and let some 20 year olds play the characters and music. Daft punk could perform forever, you have no idea who's behind those masks.

People are clamoring for humor in pinball. The other day the game GEX popped in my head. Crappy game on the first playstation, but man what made that game entertaining was the witty humor. You think people watch MST3K for the C-list movie they're watching? No, they want to hear the witty banter.

    Quoted from 30FathomDave:

I thought I remember hearing she's appearing as herself (Cassandra Peterson), not Elvira.

I've watched tv interviews, and she's said it takes her a long time to get into costume, and with that comes more money to hire her that way.

    Quoted from chadderack:

The line to see her is already out the doors

Pinside: But she's an old lady, nobody cares about her anymore

    Quoted from Reality_Studio:

Other industries do this all the time. Check the video game industry, hardware and sometimes software is teased or leaked a year in advance to build hype and gauge interest. The car industry does it as well, nothing unusual here. If anything it does show how important theme is to pinball.

Yes, but the video game industry usually teases with a rough rendering of in-game screenshots, and car manufacturers will either tease a sketch, or a one-off prototype. Simply ending a review of the first two games and then just saying "yes, we're going to build an elvira 3" with no timeline, pricing, not even a napkin sketch seems a little premature.
