I was wondering if anyone could confirm with me that my Tales from the Crypt early production or prototype table's toy topper is different than production. All the pics Ive seen of this topper show it completely charcoal color while mine's hands are in color (not a by-hand mod, this is how it came). Some have said the prototype on this table had lights and flashers on the head but they aren't present on mine.

Best,
Brian

Looks cool, but I don't really know if it is a proto or not.

I spoke with John Borg recently about my prototype TFTC, and I can confirm your topper is a prototpye. John said only the prototypes were "flesh" color, while the production toppers were either grey or black.

Wow, that is cool. Never saw one painted before. Wonder how your topper is a prototype and not the game? Hmmm.
Well, pretty sweet you have the topper at least...it looks awesome!

That's cool. I had a TFTC with a prototype head, green inserts at the top, but regular topper and playfield.

That's exactly how mine was, green inserts and regular topper. My flashers had no bulbs in them and I had to peel down some type of stapled up foil insulation to install flashers in them. Maybe those were early production??
