In a rental car listening to Sirius radio yesterday and I selected the NPR station. Around noon, a new show starts and I think the host's voice sounds familiar. Soon I think I hear the word pinball, no that can't be. Then I hear the familiar words - Nate and C2C. Woohoo! Podcast was from 01/21 broadcast, one I heard before. Listened to 15 min anyways, and thought you may like to know ... pinball is mainstream now.

Quoted from jar155:

That's downright rad.
Is this something that NPR does where they play clips of podcasts or something? I see that you're letting Nate know, would he be unaware that his episode was broadcast, or are you letting him know that you tuned in? Inquiring minds want to know.

I was surprised NPR was using a podcast but rationalized that must have been the way they were doing things these days. The show is really a bunch of segments anyways, each with their own names. While the show played the radio display read npr, and c2c was never seen.

So my post was to let the community know and to provide feedback to Nate, in case he wasn't aware. You bring up a good point, how does a broadcaster notify C2C they are hosting their material? Did Nate know beforehand or even after the fact via some official notification?

Aurich sounds much taller than I had imagined him to be.

There are no issues with Nate using C2C after the move to Amsterdam. Once you learn it stands for - sea to sea - you'll realize that you liked it all along for good reason. Keep podcasting

Should probably be Continent2Continent pinball now, eh?

why stop there? Planet2Planet or Galaxy2Galaxy ....

Quoted from Tuna_Delight:

And I suppose you're gonna say that cigarettes are bad for your health too?!
Ok - I'm not a smoker, but I'm with Nate in that I do enjoy a nice cold Diet Coke (or two) most days!

Heck yeah! A person need not sacrifice every one of life's little pleasures because it offends someone or some group. I say keep guzzling those diet cokes.

Welcome back Nate,

I know this isn't the thread for how to improve Pinburgh .... but the audio deployment this year leaves me scratching my head. Why the couldn't commentary be streamed? Pull on some over-the-ear headphones to block out surrounding noise and get commentary piped directly into your head. Tune in and listen at a low volume or chose not to and don't = win/win.

Would hate for the Pinburgh audio crew to be hired for the Masters Tournament (golf) ... Their babble + speakers turned up to 120 db and distributed around the course = Masters being cancelled and spoiling an 85 year old tradition. Pinburgh has got to be changed for next year
