man, I hear what you are saying about seeing something in a thread a long time ago.. my memory is flawed, but I do remember something coming up in a thread as you say.. I don't remember it as targeting john though, I thought it was another guy.. but since you pursued it I'm sure you remember it better. Either way, just confirming that yes it happened.

Actually I think you are remembering correctly. I think you are referring to similar accusations made about another pinball person (Williams/Bally employee) in the JPOP thread. Which I instantly thought about when all this JT crap came to light.
There was some accusations in the jpop thread against a wms programmer I won't mention again here. But those accusations were very clear, not some coded comment.

So Nate - enjoyed the podcast as always, but I have to ask - what's keeping you from having any pinball games already?!
I don't know what the internal discussions were at JJP as far as announcing Pirates now, but I agree with your opinion Nate that Dialed In gets hurt the most.
The odd thing when you think about it is Pirates isn't shipping immediately. There's a rough "Q1" time frame, but who knows even if that will hold. So there are no Pirates to buy today (other than putting your deposit in).
Dialed In is your classic "sleeper" title. It had a rough start out of the gates, but only as more and more people played it did it start to build up traction. Now Pirates has sucked up all the oxygen as new title announcements will.
Imagine a different JJP expo seminar where a major software update for Dialed In was planned and released for. The talk could be what an achievement the game has been, and by the way here are all these new features for it, and they're installed on the show games (and downloadable right now) so go nuts.
Then prepare a Pirates reveal much more closer to the manufacturing date. Give Dialed In those extra months, perhaps 6+ more months before Pirates is on the line anyways.
But I'm just an armchair quarterback

Seriously... it’s like Jordan returning to the Bulls in his prime! The podcast space has fillers... but C2C is in a league of its own!

Yeah. Didn’t see him at dpo. Did have contact upfront where he mentioned he would come if the work wouldn’t mess up his schedule. Apparently it did

Not gone, it’s just been an incredibly hectic couple of months. Last second trip to NYC for a work thing kept me from DPO, and I feel like I have been living in airports for 6 weeks.
C2C can’t get as much of my time as I wish it could these days, but I would suspect a couple shows in the not too distant future.
This last year went by in an instant. Scary.

A Xmas wish to Santa.
I am leaving in a few days for long road trip to bay area
and would hope that i might be able to listen to a podcast or two from Nate
on the trip down or back home.
Maybe a year end wrap up and year in review show.

its been 2 months since the last podcast
and you basically promised to deliver such over 2 weeks ago.
Seems like Nate is busy at his new position. My guess is he'll get a moment of inspiration, scribble down a bunch of topics on his notebook, and just record an impromptu show out of the blue. We don't need the fancy intro music, just need good dialogue.
