For the TZ, does it have the little star cutouts like the translite has?

Quoted from nightsearcher:

My TAF and TZ mirrored backglasses came safe today. They look awesome! Great work CPR Team. Can’t wait to see how much light they let through. Can’t wait to get my new Stargazer and Elektra toppers on Thursday. I hope Funhouse and TOM mirrored backglasses come up also

Any chance you could post a picture of the backside of the TZ glass?

Really hoping CPR will post some product photos. I want to get both TZ and TAF but I want to see what I would be getting first.

Sent a few pics to you metahugh, hope they came through. Let me know

Thanks a million nightsearcher!!! They look great! Here they are for the others interested:

The mirroring in the lightning on TAF looks really well done! I like all of the subtle mirroring on TZ.

When I was talking about the star cutouts in the translite for TZ, here is what I was referring to:

I bought both TZ and TAF and received them a number of weeks back. I am finally at the point with my TAF restore that I got to test install the TAF glass. It looks really awesome! With the power off the glass has a really heavy blue tint but after lighting it up it looks great. I am using Comet Pinball 2 SMD 6.3V AC/DC SUPREME BRIGHTNESS with FACETED LENS bulbs in warm white.

Cousin It is lit up like that because I need to find blinker bulbs that work with GI OCD

Quoted from Talon2000:

So for those that got the TAF glass, my original trim on the glass/translite will not fit the thickness of the new Glass. What are you using as a replacement lift channel, and trim?

I am using the original lift channel and side trim but I put a few spots of friction tape to keep them from moving.C244E8BC-7390-4A5D-B41A-00390176B6CD (resized).jpegC244E8BC-7390-4A5D-B41A-00390176B6CD (resized).jpeg

Quoted from Talon2000:

Well considering that I can't even get the original trim to fit, I'm not going to be able to get tape in there as well. The cpr glass is almost double in thickness to my original glass and translite.

How thick is your original glass? How wide is the lift channel?

I have two sheets of translite glass and they both measure just about the same at 0.128” thick.

The inside of my channel is 0.153” in width.

It sounds like you either have the wrong lift channel or are comparing the wrong thickness glass.

Here is the thickness of the CPR glass.

Quoted from Talon2000:

Original glass is .125 inches, repro is .160 trim is .120 with the notch for the translite, the trim is very tight on the original glass.

[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

So our glasses are basically the same thickness but my lift channel is wider than yours. I am using trim I bought from Pinball Life within the past couple of years.

The trim on mine wouldn’t stay on the CPR glass without the grip tape.
