Quoted from MikeS:Another request for Stern Stars. Would love to see these made as I need one! Thanks
Quoted from indypinhead:I'd also like to see a Jokerz backglass...I bet that would look awesome.
Since we are on System 11's....
Fire!! Would be amazing.

Oh man, the more I think about it.
Would look amazing on my Champagne Fire.
Quoted from gipinball:What about Space Station??
Which Version? There were 3 Different Versions......
1.) Small cutout windows are punched in front of the space station lamps, making these lamps visible.
2.) The cutout windows are evident but not punched, showing blank white areas of translite over the lamps.
3.) No cutouts windows at all.
Which ever version is chosen someone would have to step-up and provide Stu with a Near Perfect Translite to Scan/Work from to develop the new artwork.
Stu is not on pinside so you would have to contact him directly through the cpr facebook page.....
Quoted from gipinball:What about Space Station??
They all look faded
I got lucky, there was a guy on Facebook making Space Station back glass last spring. Bought one shipped from France it looks amazing.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Stern Dracula backglass would be nice.
+1 for Dracula!
The holes are clear in the art, I’m trying to find the contact. He was pinballbackglass80 on Facebook market I think. Going back through my payment history to see if it’s there. Unfortunately he doesn’t seem to be on Facebook anymore. I’ve added a pic prior to install, from our last expo and one of the Twilight Zone I bought from him as well. If the art is that good on mine and CPR could use it for a scan maybe that’s an option too.

He refused to use it because I didn’t have a piece of glass for it. He was actually a total dickhead about it. Took him 2 weeks to ship it back and never mentioned if he was going to use it or not. Having talked to a few people down in his area, they were even baffled as to why he needed a backglass when he could have used one off of his own games to see how it lined up.

Of course you are Not telling the entire story.
Per Stu, he did specifically tell you that he need the original glass panel with the translite, which you did Not send him. He was not a "dickhead about it" that's your interpretation of it. He sent me a screen shot to include in this posting, so I have. As for using one of his own games, they are ALL packed up and in storage because he moved. There are only 3 local pinheads that have been to his house since he moved, so those people that you spoke to don't even know that he moved.....Geeeze, get your facts straight before you go crying to pinside!
You would think that with all the other games he has recreated, he would know by now that the sizes are all the same. I’m not the first person to have issues with him. It’s whatever. Just saying the chance for a theater of magic mirrored was there and I hope someone can help him out with one. They are pretty cool upgrades. There are better ways to go about it when people from the hobby are just trying to help out. What really sucks is I have a NOS space station like he is looking for as well that I can send but I’d rather not at this point. It’s not like he has a line of people waiting to send him stuff. Maybe there is a reason for that

Can anyone help track down a super rare plain glass for WPC games? Not only are these extremely rare, but the dimensions are a complete mystery. If only other similarly sized backglasses had already been re-created to use as a sizing template. Or at least if anyone anywhere had access to the glass dimensions. What a shame.
Yup I offered to send in my NOS demoman translight but he said he wouldnt take it without the glass.
I even said I would measure the glass lenght, height and thickness and he said he qouldnt do it without the glass. It's crazy. I put the translight on my glass. It's just centered nothing special.
He said I would have to pay to ship my glass from canada to the states out of my pocket and if it gets damaged it's my problem.
I had no problem putting the translight in a tube and paying for shipping but to need the glass is just dumb.
Then ontop of that some of the glasses they are making they havent even centered properly.

Yeah I had some rare playfield kits for sale. He asked if I would send the Space Rider one to him so he could copy the art and have CPR reproduce them. When I explained that I actually had several of the playfields already, but would send the backglass so that could be made since I only had one and then I could provide the playfields and CPR could provide the backglasses I was told it wasn't worth his time or effort. I even offered him his own playfield for free as part of the whole thing. I really appreciate what CPR does for the hobby, but man, sometimes at least Stu can be difficult to deal with.
My Creature BG arrived wow it’s beautiful. Reading through this thread I see others had issues getting the old trim on do I need to fit them as I’m having a hard time also. The lift channel is fine.
Thx in advance.

Ok so I have both a CPR TAF and TZ mirrored backglass ready to go in my machines.
I am buying new trim for both of them since I want to leave the OEM translites as is (both are in great condition).
Should I be buying the standard OEM WPC89 trim bearing in mind it’s been established the standard translite is much thinner than the glass? What about WPC95 trim? Apparently that is thicker, but I don’t know if it just drops in to WPC89 machines?
Appreciate any help anyone can provide.
Thanks!
I have ordered system 11 Williams versions as per @j_m_ and hoping he’s ok with sharing this too.

I just got the CPR standard TAF backglass a few months ago, the mirroring looks good, but I'm a bit disappointed with the coloring. Overall it's a touch darker and the greens (like the mansion roof) are much more towards the blue spectrum (probably why it seems darker). Side-by-side the original translite's colors seem more vibrant.

Thanks j_m_ Perfect fit using them.
Pics in machine are of the mirrored CPR.

Thanks from me, too. Fit perfectly on my Scared Stiff CPR mirrored backglass (to go with my Elvira's House of Horrors LE).
I love the CFTBL in person. The moon is mirrored and before, it didn’t stand out. Hard to photograph but it looks so much better. With the chrome work I’ve had HRA do, it makes it really pop.

Wow that does look beautiful but wow just a little sticker shock but I suppose the mirrored backglasses are a little more labor intense to make. The problem is thats about 3 times what I paid for the game which would be well worth the price if the game is a keeper but if I decide to sell the game it would probably be at a loss.
Quoted from jfh:How do people with the SS and CFTBL glasses like them in person?
Quoted from shovelhed:Still looking for before and after pics for AFM and your thoughts.
I like a mix of upgrades that are available, rather than the same thing on every game. Which is why I have artblades on MB and TZ but mirrorblades on SS and PinGraffix PowerBladez on AFM. (A mix looks better to me than mirrorblades on everything.)
Elvira's House of Horrors LE came with a mirrored backglass and I added a CPR mirrored backglass (pricey, but it looks very nice) to my Scared Stiff. I changed ToM and RFM and AFM to 3-D translites. AFM and RFM look very good in 3-D. The ToM 3-D translite is not as good (looks too blurry to me). But I can always put my original ToM translite back in if the blurriness bothers me.
I was really lucky and got one of the prototype 3-D translites for my CFTBL (that never made regular production) or I would have considered buying a mirrored CPR backglass for it.
Just a heads up to anyone fitting these to WPC89 games, System 11 trims fit like a glove and go on without any hassle, and are still tight.
Thanks to j_m_ who posted this idea in another thread. I also followed his suggestion of buying 6 top trims and trimming 4 of them down to make side trims to ensure no gap between the top trim and lift channel. I don’t know if this is necessary with System 11 trims but I did it anyway.
