I have quite a few bgresto glasses. 44s work great behind them. Maybe I'm lucky but I don't have a ton of issues with the current incandescent bulbs. I do have a lot of the old GE 44s squirelled away too.

Quoted from EM-PINMAN:Bgresto.com does not recommend them. It's their backglass, and they recommend Comet LEDS warm white frosted. Personally I don't trust a 44's heat so close to that vinyl backing, could shrink in spots over time causing wrinkles.
They only recommend them for lighting purposes. No mention of any heat issues. On their website the do a comparison with 47s and it's pretty obvious they are not bright enough.
Really in a home environment I doubt anyone is leaving games on long enough to cause heat related issues even with 44s behind an ink screened glass from Shay or Ron Webb. I have one on my Royal Guard and it looks like the day I put it in there. Pretty sure there are 44s behind it. It takes a lot of time for that yo happen and then throw in changes in temp and humidity from games being moved etc.
Next time I talk to Steve I'll ask him the heat question though and see what he says.
