I am fascinated by the possibilities of wifi networked pinball machines and thought it might be time to start a thread to gather ideas. I'll start:

For operators:
Cash box updates
Error reports: stuck balls, switch errors, machine turned off, etc
Remote settings adjustments
Automatic software updates

For players:
Pinball machine locator. Both for location machines and collectors ( if they choose to make the info public)
Score/achievement tracking
Competitions. Including unique formats like first one to X score or objective
Someone also mentioned cooperative play
