I will be in the Netherlands this September and would like to know about any must see, or worth checking out, pinball adventures. I know there is a Dutch pinball museum I am looking forward to seeing, although I don't know much about it.

One tip I always need to remind myself of..... The Dutch aren't loud like us. Go easy on the cursing of the machines, etc

In amsterdam there are the 2 only known to me barcades both called tontonclub https://tontonclub.nl having around 4 machines each.

    In scheveningen there is the
Pier with around 8 to 10 machines.
    http://www.pier.nl

And there are two arcadehalls called gamestates in utrecht and kerkrade these are 2 arcades with 4 pins each: www.gamestate.nl

Are you visiting us for pleasure or for business, do you stay in one place or are yoi traveling around?

Don't waste your valuable vacation time playing pinball you could play at home.

Go and walk around the Old Church in the heart of Amsterdam.

I be in Amsterdam in about 12 days. I'll stop by. I think it would be fun to play pin in Amsterdam. I am there 4 days I have plenty of time.
    I was reading review

"Went to The Spirit because I had met Brenn, a local pinball player over at Pacific, another coffeeshop. I didn't realize until he told me, that most of the pinball machines in Amsterdam are in coffeeshops". Why are pinball machines in coffee shops? Seems odd, I have never seen a pinball machine in a Starbucks but that would be cool.

Umm..because Amsterdam, weed from the Grey Area, a Heineken and pinball are pure heaven.

You play a pinball machine in a Starbucks
And they tell you to quite down in no time

You play pinball in a “coffee shop “ and they say “ Dude , crank that shit up “ !!

You're thinking of the blue lights.

    #19 5 years ago

Well I knew about the Red light district. Friend of mine said go see the ugly ladies...lol I think I’ll pass. My wife is plenty but I didn’t know weed coffee shops existed.

Utrecht is a great city as well to visit.

Try to visit the Dutch Pinball Association (or Nederlandse Flipper Vereniging). They have a permanent line-up of 100+ pinball machines. It's opened twice a month, one friday and one saturday. For €10 you can play everything for free the whole day/evening. The dates can be checked here: https://www.nfvpinball.nl/

Wow! Great response from everyone here. Very appreciated. This is not a pinball geared trip so I already have plans for some of the non-pinball suggestions made. I will look into some of the others. I just wanted to know where to look for pinball when I'm in those areas or something that might be nearby or on the way. I will be based in Stramproy and have car access as well as public transportation.
