I don't think nintendo created a short supply to hype the market. If anything, they underestimated the market on what people would pay. They could have priced it $10-20 more and it would have still sold out.

I think the people buying it is more for the "it's cool to have". As they will get bored of it pretty quick

If ppl have the cash and they want it. Let them be. I would spend $300 on one now but I know there's lots of things that I buy that ppl think it's not worth the money

I went to my local Walmart at 5am for store opening time of 7am about 20 ppl ahead me. By 530am line to grew to about 40 ppl. Online tracker said they had 84. They started handed out raffle/ticket stubs.

But 7am Stubs were all gone. And then everyone rushed in. Store didn't even call out numbers or anything. It was line up at the til with your stub. Hand over stub,pay and snes classic was yours. But there were more stubs and units. Some ppl waiting there early didn't get one

I did get one but Walmart messed that up bad
