Working on a Neptune, EM game. When I start a game, the start relay energizes but will not energize the AX relay. It then goes to tilt and the hold coil disengages. 2C on the score motor is good.

This game does not have a first ball relay. Here is a piece of the start up schematic.

bjspinball could you post a pic of the part of the schematic that shows the AX relay.
Mystery solved. Someone had clipped one of the wire off of the credit unit coil in the bottom of the game and put it on the black wire on the other credit coil.
That caused it to tilt and release the hold coil. I have fixed hundreds of games.. the things people do sometimes makes me pull my hair out!
