My OCD kicked in and the neon collection is getting out of hand.
Here are my rare ones:
Schlitz On Tap: Came from a somewhat local facebook listing, but I don't know much about it other than its a 1977 and quite rare to find in perfect condition. I liked the looks and had to have it.
Koehler On Tap: Came from a local bar, and has local cult following due to the now demolished Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery in Erie, PA. I was too young to know what beer was when this brewery was operating. The HV transformer was replaced but the sign is estimated to be in the early 60's based on the frame design. Very awesome to have.
Carling: This one is super rare but most people have not heard of it before. This sign was a craigslist find and had been listed for over 2 months. I had a hard time getting the seller to meet, so I remained persistent. Probably my top favorite. The carling tube is bent with extra pride and care whoever the bender was, and a very quality "rube red" tube was used for the border. The craftmanship overall is unsurpassed in any sign I have seen. The pictures do not showcase its true colors.
More to come:
