    Quoted from atpcfiaim:

Picked up a few more neons off the shelf in Las Vegas with my friend Patrick. 2 of the 3 were still new in the box from 1970.

If you dont mind sharing where you purchased?

Also, if that first Pabst sign doesn't light up completely, do a mercury roll on it and it will.

    Quoted from ultimategameroom:

What’s the story behind these killer finds?
    Were they reasonably priced?
It’s not neon but this is the only NOS sign I have in my collection. It’s embossed and double sided. It was still in the original box when I bought it 25 years ago.

The owner was a neon collector in the 1970’s buying old neons back then. The owner was friends with my friends Dad. He is an older man now and his kids have no interest in his signs. We usually pay what he paid back in the day. Not an inexpensive proposition when buying 20-40 signs per visit.

20-40 signs at a time! If you display them please post some pics. It sounds like you have an awesome collection of vintage signs.

    Here’s two of mine.

I love the movie Bladerunner and there is a very cool dragon neon sign in one of the scenes. It took several years of requests but my buddy who owned a bar got one of his beer reps to get me the Tsing Tao dragon.

The Yuengling neon is from around 1994. It’s not rare but the backstory is cool. My father in law went to high school with Dick Yuengling. Dick carried the sign out of the brewery and put in in the back of our SUV. My iPhone can’t capture the blue correctly. It looks nicer in person.

That’s awesome. Does it animate with flapping wings too? Cant tell if that’s a reflection or not. Regardless, very cool and in the perfect spot.

Reflection off the acrylic backing that the neon is affixed too is my guess. If it were animated you would see another set of electrodes as well as another power supply to drive the second set of wings.

Went to some arcade on the Myrtle Beach boardwalk and saw a cool row of pitch and bat machines. Had fun playing a few games for the first time.

We love playing the pitch-and-bat machines there. I do wish they were maintained better, but if you play a few, one usually works reasonably well. We always end up winning a shirt, lol.
