A club for everything. I know a lot of us went that extra mile and got neon black light carpeting for our game rooms. We tend to highjack the "Show us Your Gameroom thread" with talking about our floors. Post your experience, tips, price and of course pics.

I got mine done 2 years ago. I can't seem to find the design anymore online but I'm very happy with the outcome. I talked to a few of my local carpet installers and one of them dealt directly with the manufacturer of it. Carpet, and installation cost about $2500. I originally just had 3 LED high hats on the ceiling that could change to black lights. But I went the extra mile and put led black light strips under all the pins. I like it.

I like this Club. Bring on the blacklight. I have heard good ole fluorescent bulbs (4ft) are the best result for that glow effect with these types of carpet. Is that true ?

I'm waiting for MustangPaul to officially join. He's a big fan of the 4' black light bulbs

That's cleaver. To get the most light glue aluminum foil on those black areas by and under the bulbs to reflect the light.

Digging this back up, been looking for the best carpet.
I’m looking to get a finished runner-style piece to line a hallway, but I want to be able to pick it up like a regular rug. Any suggestions?

Ask your local carpet stores about binding a piece of carpet for you. You should be able to order the amount of carpet you need and then they can bind the edges to make it like an area rug. Typically they can sew a thing padding on to the bottom to keep it from messing up hardwood floor beneath and to make it non-slip.

Do you guys order from local carpet stores, or is there a good place online to get arcade carpet? Does it always come in rolls or are there squares? Thanks!

I bought mine from our local carpet store. We were there for main house carpet and I stumbled on it when in the back looking at samples.

They will use a trucking company to ship it to a warehouse where it will be olade on another truck to be delivered to your house. Ask them if you can pick it up at the warehouse to save the the shiping cost to your house. I did that, I am about 20 miles from the warehouse that it was delivered to and save a couple hundred dollars. Good luck. I chose Under the Sea and love it, VERY colorful.

Thanks for the info. I had emailed them this morning and see what they say.

I hope it works for you. How much did you buy?

    #31 1 year ago

I will be buying a piece that is 12’X20’. It will be shipped directly to my house as in one shot deal. The STARZ pattern is there normal stock but they can make what ever is on there web site but you have to buy at a min 20 feet and up to 35 feet long depending on the production. So they were explaining to me that when they make the carpet sometimes it needs to be longer than 20 feet and you will get charged for the extra it could be 25 feet or up to 35 feet. Then they will charge you just for what you get delivered if that makes any sense which could be up to 35 feet and only if you ordered 20 feet.
