Ok guys. Here is my issue. I have way too much and don’t know what to keep and what to let go of. If this was your list. How many would you keep and what would you get rid of.

    Metallica Pro
    Ac/Dc vault
    Guns and Roses
    The walking Dead Pro
    Theatre of magic
    Twilight zone
    Dr who
    Starship troopers
    NBA fastbreak
    Bride of pinbot
    The getaway
    Johnny Mnemonic
    Terminator 2
    Sharkeys shootout
    Junkyard
    Star Wars episode 1
    Revenge from mars
    F14 tomcat
    No good gophers
    Shaq
    Strikes and spares gottlieb
    Lights camera action
    Harley-Davidson Sega
    Shadow
    Star Trek Pro

And I know I’m forgetting a couple. Please don’t judge me. I just have a hard time letting things go. Thanks

    #2 4 years ago

    I know. Its tough.

Keep for sure if it was me.
    MET
    TWD
    TOM
    TZ
    BOP

    #3 4 years ago

How many are you going to keep, and will be set up and played? What’s your number?

    #4 4 years ago

Honestly. I love all my pins. But I don’t even have 1 set up at my house. Most are at my buddy’s arcade. Or some are on route. And some are in storage. My grail pin is ToM! So that will not go. But it’s hard for me to part with them. It’s like I’m a hoarder of pinballs. Or parts. And I don’t understand why.

    #5 4 years ago

I would keep T-2 and F-14 and get rid of all the rest.

    #6 4 years ago

I would never part with F-14 or BoP but you should definitely sell them.

It depends on how many you are wanting to keep.

Shaq, strikes and spares, and sharkeys shootout would be the first to go for me.

Keepers would definitely be Met, acdc, TOM, TWD, the Shadow, GNR, TZ, and NGG.

Sell the ones you get fair offers on and keep the rest.

    #11 4 years ago

I always feel the same but once i sell i have no regrets. Plus i enjoy the hunt so if i do miss something i can always find another. If its super rare maybe hang onto it. Or if it has some sort of sentimental value.

    #13 4 years ago

List them all ( separately) for sale at the same time . Keep the ones that don’t sell after a month.

Because I’m always working on vendors pins and I just never get a chance. And also the last pin that was set up was my LOTR and it never got played so I sold it about a year ago.

    #17 4 years ago

I would get rid of the idea to reduce the collection. Keep the game's . Not like you are short on space . If pinballs on your route you get income and deprecation on taxes . If loaned to a route operator the OP should do the upkeep .

Fiduciary responsibility and a hobby should be kept seperate .

    Enjoy the day Shane

    I'd keep:

    Metallica Pro
    The walking Dead Pro
    Theatre of magic
    Twilight zone
    NBA fastbreak
    Johnny Mnemonic
    No good gophers
    Shadow

Sell anything that you aren't playing and aren't making money with and invest that money or use it to pay down debt if you have any. You can always buy them back. You might find that after you don't have some of them you don't want them back.

I appreciate all the comments. My second question is what do you do with all your extra boards? I have so many extra boards also. Here is a little story. I have been fixing stuff for operators so I was buying boards and I just managed to fix most of the boards that were with the games. But I would bet I have 50 boards and like 2 or 3 complete computers for pin 2000. All my boards are from system 11 all the way to whitestar

I'm sure quite a few on this website could use those boards if you aren't going to.

Oops! Looks like you didn't defend the Keep.

I am looking for a system 11 MPU board if you want to sell.

I really know I can’t keep them all. Nor do I really want too. I think I’m finally waking up to being a hoarder. As my wife would say

    #25 4 years ago

If there not for you to play, it all comes down to which machine makes you more money on route. Sell whichever makes the least and stop at how ever many pins you want to keep.

If you aren’t collecting from your machines, then I would do as someone said above. Put them all up for sale and see which machines you get fair offers for. It sound like you don’t play any of them, so it really shouldn’t matter what sells and what doesn’t.

    #26 4 years ago

    I would sell everything below

    Starship troopers
    Bride of pinbot
    Sharkeys shootout
    Junkyard
    Star Wars episode 1
    Revenge from mars
    F14 tomcat
    No good gophers
    Shaq
    Strikes and spares gottlieb
    Lights camera action
    Harley-Davidson Sega

I am interested in your Harley Davidson pinball machine. Is this a 2nd or 3rd edition?

Please contact me through email asap as I am looking at others as well. [email protected]
Where are you located, do you have the manual and what condition is the game in? I am in the Scranton PA area.
    Thanks, Jennifer

Keep F14-Tomcat. ... Wish I still had mine

    #31 4 years ago

If some of them are on route, and stuff like that, I'd think differently on the keeps and sells.

I'd sell SWE1, and all the Gottlieb/Premier stuff. That will greatly simplify your spare parts needs.

This will essentially leave you with a B/W and Stern lineup, so only really two architectures to support. The Data-East stuff I'm effectively counting as Williams since they are basically System 11 based.

If the value of a pin is going up, keep it.
If the value is staying the same, sell it.
That way (as others have said) you can buy it back at what you sold it for.

Yes most are going up, but some not as much.
