I recently bought this meter to see if I liked this style, and I do so far. 
It's not spectacular, but the tip retracts, and it has A/C sensing. I think it's well worth $20 if you want to try a pen style meter.

Yeah, sorry if I didn't make that obvious. I have yet to need to measure current when repairing a pin. I'm sure you have to sometimes, but it's not been a feature that I have missed.
