There is a little hum that you don't notice during game play. It is worse at boot up. I think the modified sound board has the hum also. I used a 1/8" Mini Mono Phone Plug Model: 274-868 from Radio Shack, 2 Alligator clips and speaker wire in between. I tried different types of speaker wire and shielded wire, and nothing made a difference. It was nice not having to modify the board, and keeping everything factory. You can even upgrade to Flipper Fidelity or Pinball Pro.
