Hi Guys,
The sound on my scared stiff is a little scratchy. I looked behind the speaker panel and found a wire just floating around (see yellow arrow). Can you tell me where this belongs? Will add pics later...lost Internet connection.

Do you have a photo?

#3 11 years ago

Hi. Yes, I have pix. Will post tomorrow when I get service back. Tree limb took down my cable, Internet, phone line!

Or is there anything else that can make the sound a bit off?

connect the green wire to the rest of the green GND wires right there.
Read.... the attached NOTE ! "IMPORTANT ATTACH GROUND STRAP"
that grounds the speaker frames,
make sure your Audio pcb is firmly grounded/ screwed down, for the scratching.

Yes, that wire needs to be connected to that BB ground right next to the one already connected in your photo.

Thanks! So I should unscrew that bolt and put the red one on top of the blue one and screw it down? What's an Audio pcb? Don't forget..I know nothing. (I CAN take the glass out now!)

And is this worth getting?

Yes, that would work nicely.

Thanks LTG! With the wire off like that, could it be the sound problem?

I don't know. But as you move forward it is nice to keep eliminating possibles.
